<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PakNation7</b></div><div>If the leafs want a 1RHD they are going to have to move one of there "Big 4" which idt they want to do. When you think about it how many teams in the NHL have 2 legit #1 defencemen? Maybe 6 (Boston, Carolina, Columbus, Nashville, San Jose and St. Louis) the rest of the good teams have just the one top defencemen with a solid top 4 (Think Colorado, Dallas, Islanders, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Washington). For the Leafs having a solid second pairing defensemen with Rielly who the Leafs consider their #1 defensemen is exactly what Dubas and company should be aiming to accomplish this offseason. That in tandem with the overall solid pairing of Muzzin-Holl and hopeful further development of Dermott-Sandin should be an above serviceable defense corps to compliment the Leafs forward core.</div></div>

It was reported that the Leafs wanted to move Marner at the deadline but no one wanted him, so it's not a possibility to trade him. Maybe they could send Nylander for Ellis or Fox. Someone has been frequently offersheeting Cernak who is a top 4 guy but they will need to move a big guy out for that too. Honestly the stats say Holl is really good defensively &amp; he's playing like a number 1 defenseman, he was getting a bit overwhelmed during the last few weeks but if he keeps playing like this, just picking up DeMelo would be fine.
