I'd figure out a way to not have to trade Lilypad. This team has 3-6 yrs of competitiveness left. They don't need to sell the farm yet.

Also Holl is super under rated and shouldn't be traded

1st-the team doesn't have only that many years, yeah JT will drop by then, but after that SDA and Robertson will be able to have big roles in the lineup in 2-3 years.

After Muzzin starts declining(2-3 years) Sandin and Liljegren will be able to play 20 ish minutes per game.

So for Liljegren yeah I agree, Leafs shouldn't acquire Severson.

Just sign Tanev, have him as the shutdown d-man on Rielly's pairing while Reilly attacks.

That's how you start the year, play 7 D-men for the first weeks/months of the season so that Lehtonen can properly adapt to the NA hockey style
