For you our souls. Pt 2
This is painstakingly stupid... Petersen a bonafide #1 goalie prospect who LA believes is their future, for a 6th D who was just waived in the first year of his contract? No. Just no.

My Analysis on Riley Sheahan and the Penguin's Third Line Center Hunt
Sheahan is heating up at the right time, some players take more time to adjust after a trade. I'd rather find a better 4C for the playoffs because I don't think Rowney is the guy. I don't think Cullen is an improvement at all. Letestu or Ryan would be my choices

I think grabner is a good player and he's definitely getting picked up by someone, but I'm curious if anyone will pay a 1st for him. Seems awfully high

DAL what do you say?
Oleksiak wouldn't fit the Pens system at all, Stephen Johns would be a little better. The trade itsself seems like something out of an nhl18

classic pens fans
Leafs fans think they can get Crosby for Bozak, MTL fans think Galchenyuk is worst 3 1st rounds, NYI fans think they can clean out an opponent's prospect cubbard for Tavares. All the teams are the same when it comes to trades, biggest difference is most have a Cup to their name, unlike yours.

Pens- Option #2
I think Vegas should keep Miller, I could be wrong but isn't he their only right handed Dman? As for a center, I think Haula and Karlsson fit the Penguins system the best, and I would prefer Karlsson, but he's red hot and would probably cost the most. I think Eakin could help the PK a lot so I'd take him. I don't know Eakin for Cole sounds awfully fair for me

Kings want Chucky?
I'm surprised the Kings aren't mentioned more when it comes to Duchene or Galchenyuk, even before Carter's injury. Yes Galchenyuk is 23, but his development has been hurt bad by MTL, at this point he's a reclamation project. Behind Vilardi, JAD and Clague are their best prospects and you just don't give up 2 of your top 3 prospects for a project

Penguins Backup Discussion
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ShafferPens</b></div><div>Casey DeSmith in WBS is playing good. Better than Jarry right now.</div></div>
I like DeSmith and he's had some moments in WBS where he's shined. The vibe I got when he brought Niemi on board was he wanted a veteran netminder whose been a starter and has playoff experience, which makes plenty of sense. But man Niemi has just been awful. I guess good news is he's contract could easily be buried

Pittsburgh trade based on Darren Dreger rumour
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Texus</b></div><div><div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Klink2014</b></div><div>Maatta is currently playing great hockey so I don't think PIT is interested in trading him right now, and in the event of injury, Sprong is probably the first forward called up. I like Galchenyuk but I don't think he can really be a quality center, I see him more of a top 6 winger</div></div>
I totally agree about Galchenyuk being a winger, but Darren Dreger specifically mentioned his name in connection with Pitt's search for a C so that's pretty much the only reason I did this roster. I was really surprised that was the info Dreger got but it is what it is.
And for Maatta I've seen a lot of Pens fans on here saying he's playing great, but is he really indispensable though? He's still their fifth ranked defenseman in total ice time so far this season, and more importantly 5th by a pretty big margin at 5 on 5... Seems to me like he can be sacrificed to add another potentially very dynamic offensive forward like Galchenyuk.</div></div>
Yeah i saw the article so i know exactly what you mean Dreger definitely mentioned PIT, and they've probably looked into it, just like they did previously with Sheahan and Duchene. I just don't know if I want to trade Maatta who's playing well for a center who probably is better suited for the wing and isn't playing so well. If both were playing well then I'd say Maatta for Galchenyuk straight up would be a fair hockey trade, just like Johansen and Jones

Pittsburgh trade based on Darren Dreger rumour
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mhockey91</b></div><div>I think a trade around maatta and galchenyuk is perfect for both teams. pit LOVES reclamation projects</div></div>
You're right and the Schultz trade worked out great for them, but they gave up a 3rd because it was a reclamation project. Galchenyuk was skating on the 4th line wing if I'm not mistaken, so his value is very low. Maatta is PITs second best defensemen right now, so his value is high

Bring Alec Martinez home
This is an interesting trade, I think the value is fair and with Carter injured for awhile center could be a new weakness. These two definitely help with speed and skill, but i don't know how much they'd help with defensive responsibility and checking since that's kind of the whole "kings hockey" brand

Leafs-Kings
I thought this was gonna be another Doughty trade at first lol. It's no secret that if LA makes a trade it'll be Muzzin or Martinez and the nice thing about Martinez is he can play both sides. I think JVR could fit in LAs system, speed, score and can check. Rychel could also fit in LA even if he's not more than a 3rd or 4th liner. A late 2nd round pick is icing on the cake, I'd take this deal

Getting a C
So EDM trades two young players who were high draft picks for two 30+ year old wings and a D prospect that was considered a bust in his OHL days and two picks? This hardly seems fair or even logical
