We need to quickly rebuild and this move would help starting next year. Question is how bad LA want to win this year and how bad they want Chucky? Thoughs??

On the surface, something like this makes sense. However, these are two of the Kings top prospects. I assume they want to rebuild their prospect pool right now, so they might not want to give up those prospects

We need to remember also that Galchenyuk is only 23... even if he's a UFA after his contract, he's not even at his peak now.

I'm surprised the Kings aren't mentioned more when it comes to Duchene or Galchenyuk, even before Carter's injury. Yes Galchenyuk is 23, but his development has been hurt bad by MTL, at this point he's a reclamation project. Behind Vilardi, JAD and Clague are their best prospects and you just don't give up 2 of your top 3 prospects for a project
