I thought this was gonna be another Doughty trade at first lol. It's no secret that if LA makes a trade it'll be Muzzin or Martinez and the nice thing about Martinez is he can play both sides. I think JVR could fit in LAs system, speed, score and can check. Rychel could also fit in LA even if he's not more than a 3rd or 4th liner. A late 2nd round pick is icing on the cake, I'd take this deal

Cool. I think this does work for both sides. With the Carter injury the Kings need some offense, although JVR isn't a center, he can occupy that low slot that Carter does in the PP. Martinez may not be an ideal fit for the Leafs, but he comes on a solid contract and provides needed stability and winning pedigree to the back end.
