They have 12million in cap give him what he wants for 1 year. He is gonna have to take a pay cut to play for any playoff team.

1 year deals for everyone.
You would need to pay Nino and Granny 7+ mil to make them sign 1 year deals... Not to plug myself but i would check out my team I made it work.

Anyone think that instead of getting a 1st and Sam Bennet the kings trade Brown? Maybe at retained salary if nessecary?

Vegas will never pick Stewart, Nino is underpaid, and why sign free agent bottom pair guys when we have Reilly, Olafson, Folin, and Prosser.
And Brodin is worth at least a first and a A+ prospect.

I have one issue with this lineup. I think you are under the cap floor and you might as well give your starter and top line guys some more money.

I'm not a fan of these trades but they are fair and somewhat realistic. Nino and Granlund are underpaid IMO they need at minimum a 6x6 deal.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Larkinisking</b></div><div>Sounds like Dallas isn't interested in Brodin for the #3 pretty sure they can get better.</div></div>
Brodin is the Wild's #3 defenseman and is willing and able to take over a top-2 role in any organization. The stars NEED that more than anything right now if they want to contend with Benn in is prime; and after the Taylor Hall Trade it shows how valuable a Top pairing defender is.

I think the Wild Could package Scandella and Pomminvile to ARZ for a 4th rounder clears up 9.6 mill in cap and as good as Scandella is we don't need to spend $4 million on a buy who will only get bottom pairing minutes and the wild can have Gustav olafson and Mike Reilly split games in that spot.

As a Minnesota Fan I don't see that trade going through unless we get a 1st instead of the second and a solid prospect and that's if Dumba Doesn't get picked by Vegas.

Wild 2017/2018
1. Praise will not be bought out for a long time if ever. If they bought him out today they would have a ~$2 million cap penalty until 2033 and in 2023 and 2024 the cap hit would be $8,413,000 because idk buyouts are weird and dangerous but its more than his current cap hit.
2. Why re-sign Kuemper? He had and awful season and has played his way out of the NHL.
3. Nino and Granny or bother underpaid I see them having a cap hit closer to 6+
4. Why would you every buy out Mikko Koivu he may be a little overpaid but he is one of the best 2-way centers in the league. Why would u buy him out he only has next year on his contract.
5. On defense the Wild sign Folin and Prosser to under a mill and Prosser to league minimum to fill in the 6 spot.
6 . Vegas Pick
7.Wild don't need to sign FA depth they have plenty in Graovac, Haula, Schroeder.
8. DON'T buy out Stewart. Overpaid? maybe? not to me and why take a $400,000 cap hit to sign another depth guy who isnt going to play better than stewart?
9. You bank on Kunin playing a top-6 role and he has never even seen NHL action or AHL action. I think Tuch will make the roster next year but this year he had 0 pts and was -3 in six games, you can't bank on him playing a role next year although I think he can.

I agree they will have to give up a first also but in my opinion the Hawks know that to be a contender again they need to move some cap and add depth and after Toews' last two post seasons and regular seasons he is the most overpaid IMO.

Nino or Granny
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiaPetty</b></div><div>With the expansion draft I assume you would protect 7F/3D/1G, I think that you could get more for Grandlund (because he is a young center), that would free up a forward protection spot. Personally I would rather leave Eric Staal exposed to protect both of them. That doesn't solve the problem on Defense where the Wild are likely losing one of Spurgeon, Brodin, or Dumba.</div></div>
I think the Wild would be crazy to expose Staal considering the season he had and the contract he is on (I understand you suggesting it though but even with Staal gone I still don't see them getting under the cap. I think them trading Nino is the best way to go has Granlund is a young center and will begin to get top 2 center time as Koivu and Stall age. But I would be careful as he had this breakout season at the wing and hasn't proven himself at center but think he will. As for the expansion draft I think Wild protect Suter, Spurgeon, and Brodin; and lose Dumba.

If I was MAF I wouldn't waive but i'm going to play devil's advocate.
1. You have the chance to be a uncontested #1 starter in a new exciting market.
2. You could be the face of the franchise.
3. If Matt Murray continues to progress MAF will begin to see less and less time in pittsburg.
4. Not sure how important a big contract is compared to winning cups but he will get PAID upwards of 6-7mill for 6 years if he plays well in Vegas.

Matt's Thoughts
1. I somehow forgot about Haula so yes I don't see the Wild Signing Boyle, and if I were him I would stay in Toronto anyways.
2. Now that the Stars got a 1st from the Ducks they get that but I don't see Scandella as having a lot of value. When I watch him play I don't see much more than a top-6 guy who can fill in on the top-4 when injuries occur. Look at how the PK struggled when Brodin was hurt and Scandella filled in for a few weeks.
3. I think Mike Reilly is absolutely a Top-6 who gets second line powerplay time. He has played well at the NHL level when he is called up but that means sitting Scandella or Brodin and that won't Happen. I changed his contract to a 2 year bridge.
4. I forgot about Expansion...

pomin-p
I don't see the Wild Resigning Hanzal after last season I think he would fit well in that role on another team but I think the Wild will sign Haula who is cheaper, younger, and faster to fill he 3rd line center role. They may also trade some depth at the blue line instead of Haula to AZ. I don't think the price for the rights to Kovalchuk are worth that much and the Wild Could use Scandella to help in the Pominville trade; probably recoup some picks after the Hanzal Trade.
