Its all about Michkov

Description
Big offseason going all in if Michkov does indeed come over. Draft Eiserman at 12, wide range of where he could go have seen top 5, have seen falls to 15. If he's available the flyers should jump on him. Elite goal scorers will always be valuable. Tkachuk needs to get out of ottawa, the value is hard to gauge, 3 decent picks. 2 good prospects in brink/Andrae and Risto to even up the $...may not be enough but that's a starting point. Zegras I think the value is fine, he's not a bonafide 1C yet but certainly has that potential and I think has fallen out of favor in anaheim. the Atkinson move is purely a homecoming for him and adding a 4th, its one year for a non contending team a 4th is fine value. Bertuzzi adds some grit and depth and the guy is Flyer material. Bring back walker who thrived in shaws system

Columbus declines. We'll probably sign Cam once his contract with you runs out, but we're not taking on nearly $6M in AAV for a 5th-rounder next year.

I love Cam and would love to see him back, but besides the salary that we wouldnt be taking on, we just dont have the roster space for him right now.

Not close to what we want for Z

Big Flyers fan here but that deal to Ottawa is horrible for them. It would take a 1st (possibly 2) a young stud off our roster (Farabee), d-man off our roster (York) and Michkov

The ducks have a pretty deep pipeline, they don’t have interest in a ‘quantity’ return for Zegras. If they end up opting for Lindstrom at 3OA and therefore deem Zegras as expendable, the trade would be to fill another need at top 6RW or top 2/4RD with someone roughly same age.

The only fit I see (again, assuming ANA takes Lindstrom) is Foerster+. What would your thoughts be on Foerster + ‘24 PHI 1st for Zegras + ANA ‘24 2nd?

You can have Eiserman or you can have Zegras, but you can't have both because that 2024 first is what Pat Verbeek would require for a Zegras trade.

I wouldn't go higher than the San Jose third, myself, but I could be outvoted.

I feel like if we were getting Foerster + Yakemchuk or Helenius for Zegras and a 2nd that’s not bad at all.

My personal take would be that even if we drafted Lindstrom, we should still keep Zegras next year regardless. Lind should get 1 more year to develop, so there’s no rush and Z is unquestionably at an all time low in value. I know we want to be more competitive next year, we could very much use his production, and I’d like to see how he adapts with a full healthy season (🤞) under Cronin

Agree with everything you say here 100% if this is an "instant trade" and we see who is still on the board. (Your second paragraph is perfect.)

Quantity offers only bring back older quality players from teams with barren prospect pools.

Teams don't trade young stars for quantity, they do it for quality. Reference Mittlestadt and Gauthier trades this season.

Yeww! And honestly we could totally keep both of them anyways. Lindstrom can be a stud 3C for another year or two after he joins the big club, Zegras could be tried on his off wing after that, etc. In general I want to see no core piece traded this offseason, and Verbeek drafting whoever we deem to be the best player available at 3OA. I personally have no idea who that’s going to be between like 5 different names though 😵‍💫

2 1sts, Farabee, York and Michkov? Holy crap that's gross overpay. This team will become much better with those assets than they could ever be with Brady.
