Description
Perhaps they take a slight step back going into this year. An infusion of youthful enthusiasm and speed shouldnt hurt to much! Adding a couple kids this season will mitigate the possibility of adding Lambert and Chibrikov along with Lucius, McGroarty, Barlow and Salomonsson the following season. Yikes

Perfetti gets his 212k bonus he missed this past season for not hitting 20. Chevy makes good and gives the kid an extra $106k over the 2 years with this deal. Not entirely comparable to Vilardi as he signed a 1 year deal with LA after his ELC.

Please dont over think the destinations for Iafallo and Pionk, could be elsewhere. The point is removing them from the Jets cap. If the picks need to be higher or lower or an additional asset added I would not see that as a hindrance. However, I don't think these destinations are unreasonable.

Columbus is on the phone with the NHL Central Registry to get that deal approved before you can have a chance to have second thoughts.

Doing Nikki a solid. Send him to play with his BFF Patty! Uber talent Boqvist needs a new outlook on life. 4 years of team control too. Ehlers next cap hit going to start with an 8!

I think I let the old warrior Dillon walk, and make it an attempt to fill from within, heinola is playing in the nhl next year somewhere, Stanley possibly down in Winnipeg, but time to see what samberg has, and waivers and moose. See if the job can get down cheaper. Ehlers with a new coach or possibly from within, I think I gamble til at least the deadline, possibly shine him up a bit for a return or extension.

I'm frankly not as concerned about keeping Ehlers. Boqvist has shown very good moments here and there (particularly alongside Werenski) but he hasn't been able to stay healthy enough to justify much of a return. And Stanley is in the mold of blueliners we need more of.

I would like adding Kupari. Don't think Washington would be a destination for a RHD unless they moved one or two out in the offseason, but you never know! And yes I read the description haha

Even if we made this trade, i see no reason to extend Ehlers. We could just retain and flip at the deadline for more than we are giving up here.
