Most of that makes little sense. The Avs don't need to trade for a back up, they have Annunen for that. Therefore they keep Colton who is cheaper than Domi and better. Walker you are paying too much and the Avs don't trade Manson to replace him with a weaker RHD. That's aside from Manson not waiving for Canada and MTL not likely wanting Manson. Wood is worth more than a 6th and there's no reason you can't keep him when the other silly moves are scrapped and there's more money then for Mitts if necessary as he might sign that shorter term but not for that length. Trenin also likely wants and gets a raise.

You have to start building with players who have been to the cup. Manson gives the Habs that Veteran with Cup experience and is at a reasonable price.

A lot of totally unnecessary moves that make the team overall weaker imo. That's before factoring in that Columbus would reject the trade and you have Tarasov as back up on your roster. Were you acquiring him to be starter then you'd logically move Georgiev and save cap space that way. Xhekaj isn't Manson's replacement bar the ability to drop them. Walker is and that's a big overpay for a guy who in my opinion wasn't a great acquisition. Saying the Avs have to get cheaper and then signing Domi to be 3C at that price as well? More expensive than Colton and less of a 3C. Signing Walker for more than Manson? That D gets caved in on a pretty regular basis. Utterly barmy!
