Flyers have no interest in Tavares and the value is on the Flyers side a lot.

If you want any of those players you are gonna have to give futures like picks, prospects and young players.

Yes, the Flyers will basically trade you their entire cost controlled first line for one year of John Tavares and a late 1st. Makes perfect sense for a rebuilding team.

Maybe if Nylander was a franchise player I'd agree. As is I'm not all that convinced. He had one hell of a season, and sure I'd love to add him, but he's 28 - don't expect him to be putting up more 90+ point seasons going forward. The retention makes that a lot more palatable, but even then we're creating a severe leadership vacuum here such that I'm not sure we'd even get anything out of those years of his. So I don't really see it as a no-brainer myself.

Werenski vs nylander is hard in a vacuum. But at term and money (in this prop) I would lean nylander. Especially with how many injury issues werenski has had. Even if they are freak, it still scares me.
