Grubauer Trade
Calgary needs to move a goalie not bring in a 32 year old goalie who isn't as good as Markstrom makes just 100k less and is signed for year longer.

YES! With this becoming a whole story with his father working for the Warriors, his family rooting for the Sharks to pick him, him being friends with Dratmond Green, and other warrior players and the possibility of having Warriors players at the draft to welcome him back to the Bay Area! This is too good of a story for the league to interfere to send him elsewhere!
Plus then you can Flash his Jr. Sharks pictures when he comes up to get his jersey.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheLand</b></div><div>With those 2 picks they need to draft a forward and a defense man in the 1st round. If not their rebuild will take longer imo. There's quite a few elite D in the first round.</div></div>
Elite is a stretch, there are a lot of #2-4 D in this 1st round! I would opt for a RD since that’s the sharks biggest weakness but Buium is too good to pass on at 12/14

Yeah though a minor drawback is being from Mayerthorpe he probably grew up an oilers fan.

Will They Still Be A Playoff Team Next Year
For sure. Great center and defensive depth. Only weakness is wingers, especially since Stone can't stay healthy. They might want to think about trading Theodore for a legit top 6 winger.

Ok Levshunov and Iginla is a decent consolation prize if we lose Celebrini so I don’t hate this. Still sucks though lol

My Picks For Trophy Winners
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mv21227</b></div><div>Hughes > Josi</div></div>
Hughes gets more support from the rest of his team than Josi does. Not even factoring in he has a better partner in Hronek, who he's consistently played with all year. Josi is probably the only guy in the running who doesn't have that, and his only top forward is Forsberg. VAN has Elias Petterson and JT Miller. It's a close race, but Josi deserves more consideration than he's getting because he carries the load for the Preds dmen

Zegras
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TheLand</b></div><div>Could be Kuzmenko instead. Just curious what people think about Zegras to CGY</div></div>
It might be worth taking a gamble on him at that price but some other team would probably pay more.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Schuyler</b></div><div>Flames fans wildly overvaluing their players like always</div></div>
Zegras reminds me of Laine... Lot's of offensive skill but soft and not much use when his team doesn't have the puck. I'd pass on Laine regardless, Zegras could be a project though as long as he doesn't cost too much to acquire. Much more than what's proposed here would be too much.

Calgary Flames signed Daniil Miromanov (2 Years / $1,250,000 AAV)
It’s not a ton, but not sure what he’s done to deserve over $1mil/yr, especially when he hasn’t even played a game for Calgary yet. I don’t really get the rush to sign him, but he’s committed now I guess and joins our growing pool of Russian Defensemen

But Turcotte+3rd=Toffoli
Gavrikov was just signed to that contract as a UFA. I'd argue that's around his market value especially considering his metrics are worse/similar to what they were last year.

Next In Line To Hold The C On Each Team That Has A Captain
If Hertl and/or Ferraro are still here I think it would be one of them before Eklund.
Hard to tell Eklund's leadership skills so far as rookie, but he is a future cornerstone piece no doubt and one of the hardest workers on the team (at least on the ice), so I could definitely see it

the one that seems ridiculous is stutzle.
for a couple of these it seems more like "they look like they'll be a really good player," rather than they display leadership qualities.

Suzuki will likely gonna stay with the Habs during more than 20 years and maybe retiring in like 2039 or 2040. The dude just can't be injured (I mean, since his start in the NHL in 2019, he NEVER missed a single game (injuries, suspensions and also didn't have the COVID........).).
So, I expect to him that he will gonna keep the C until his retirement.

Makar > MacKinnon in terms of captain material. It’s well documented that one of Landeskog’s best characteristics is being able to get MacK to tone it down when he goes over the top.

What Would LA Give Up For Hanifin
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hckeydude123</b></div><div>Hanifin is not on the Kings radar at all. Wake up and smell the coffee! As if Hanifin would be 3rd pairing on the Kings.
