Necas the Utah Yeti
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Canesfan21_</b></div><div>Upgrade the pick or change to another player instead?
There’s no reason for Jarvis to get more than 5 on a bridge. He can really cash in in a couple years. Long term could do something similar to the Svech deal 7.75x8, but not likely this summer with all the other expiring deals.
Drury is not getting 3. Necas got 3 on his previous deal.</div></div>
I think my ask would be Guenther, Cooley would be a reach. If the projection is what they keep talking about, this would be my value.
I didnt see the terms for both, I still think you're a bit light but you're correct it would be in that ball park for both. I stand corrected.

Necas the Utah Yeti
I like Lawson, but I struggle to think the Canes would give up Necas for that.
Jarvis is projected to be in the $6-7m range, and Drury is looking at closer to $3m. Otherwise that looks good. The more of these I do the more I realize the easy answer is always pull up the younglings...question is, are any of them ready?

Offseason 4
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Canesfan21_</b></div><div>Why not just sign everyone to normal contract numbers</div></div>
All of the contract numbers were pulled from AFP projections. Makes it easier for me, I dont have to think then. I am sure that those numbers would be a bit more rounded out in reality but who knows.

Offseason 3
Honestly, I suppose I could have? but this allows them flexability moving forward. If you're pushed to the cap it doesnt leave you much room to add if you need/want too.

I think that most of us will be very disappointed in the Hronek return if he is traded...

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mv21227</b></div><div>If we trade Hronek it’s to get a proven legitimate top 6 winger to play with Pettersson. Benson could become that but isn’t one right now which is what we need
Trading Hoglander and a 1st for Jokiharju and a 2nd doesn’t make any sense either. Hoglander > Jokiharju and 1st > 2nd</div></div>
You broke that down very different then I did...
Hoglander and the 1st <-------> Benson
Hronek <--------> Jokiharju and the 2nd
As mentioned above, I actually would rather have Peterka, but I assumed most Canucks fans on this site wouldn't even know who he is haha

Its funny because I actually think I'd prefer Peterka, but I felt like the fan base is biased by the shinny new toy (Benson)...and in truth if the Canucks did want Benson they could have drfated him ahead of Buffalo.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sabres89</b></div><div>I don't see them wanting to pay hronek for offense that dahlin, power, and Byram are supposed to provide. Add a defensive d with a mean streak, it'll cost less, and it rounds out the roster better.</div></div>
Seeing how well Hronek worked with offensive minded Hughes I actually think he would be a good fit for Dahlin. The Sabres have the cap space to take him on so I am not too sure if the money would be the deciding factor? It is more about amplifying Dahlin, which i believe is what Hronek is best at.

Nope I think they need to put Podz in a spot to challenge and utilize him. I am good with a top 6 role for him.

I am confused by your comment, however I will agree I think? The Canucks would most likely require adding a pick, possibly a 3rd round pick for the 7th in return.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>evelutions2</b></div><div>First of all, Jarvis and Nadeau are off the table. Second of all, the Canes have no interest in Miller whatsoever, and certainly not without his AAV being at about 4mil. Besides, the Canes wouldn’t take him on without having major incentives included.</div></div>
I dont think Cap Hit is much of a concern to Carolina, they have plenty of space. Miller isnt a cap dump in this case, they are moving him to a win now team that would benefit from a 100pt, point-per-game player.

I think if it's not a first it's got to be a sub 25 year old additional player...Cozens or Quinn
