Waddell gettin busy

Description
Let’s get PHYSICAL!!!!

This is going to be a wild week and I think Waddell is going to be making some moves. Hire Todd McLellan and bring in some guys that play hard. McGroarty, Crouse and Kulikov will add nicely to the locker room and physical presence on the ice.

Svozil and Mateychuk don’t make the NHL roster to start but get called up after Provorov, Kulikov and Rutta get dealt at the deadline.

Malatesta, Pinelli and Brindley form the “honey badger line” that becomes Cleveland’s best line.

BPA at 4OA, which is one of Demidov, Levshunov, Silayev or Lindstrom. I’d also be fine with Parekh, Buium, or Dickinson, but really hoping Demidov falls to us because I think he’s going to be an elite top-line game breaker which we need.

Any chance a Jiricek for McGroarty trade would work?

WPG isn’t going to bring back Laine. Waddell prefers a hockey trade.

Winnipeg should bring back Laine.

Winnipeg adds on that, and Utah says absolutely not. I’m assuming Jost is for Cleveland?

Yeah I don’t know, WPG deal seems pretty fair to me and makes our team tougher, which is massively needed. We’re skilled but soft.

Utah is speculated to maybe want a big name franchise-type player that can sell some tickets. It’s a risk but he comes retained for two years so it’s a good opportunity to rehab him and maybe land a star.

I was thinking Jost would be a reclamation project and extra forward so the prospects can develop and earn their spot rather than just being given one.

KJ had forty points as a rookie on the third worst team in the league. He is worth more than a middle-six bruiser who couldn't outscore Brindley on the same line, especially when Winnipeg has no leverage. They add.

I don't care about Laine at all, and neither does Utah. Crouse is Utah's Jenner. They're not moving him, period.

Jost is a waste of a roster spot and a million dollars. Just keep Nylander. Also, undermining your own point by putting McGroarty on the third line instead of making him "earn it."

I'd prefer that to both the Rutger and Laine trades here.

I'd do it, think Laine could find his game back where it began and I'm not sure if McGroarty is gonna be as good as all the hype he's getting.
