Jets are interested but I feel like pick 14 would be more intriguing

Have to think the Avs would have signed Sturm back when if they were interested in him.

In a fair world you might get that for him but everyone knows he's going to wait you out and go UFA. You dont have leverage to get a mid 1st

And how has no leverage worked in the past for the jets? It's based on how he views his development would be with the jets (heinola ahl, perfetti playoff scratch) Chevy is magic man

He's not forcing himself to one team dude. He can go anywhere where he feels like his development will be more smooth to an nhl impact. That's miles away from fox lol and even then fox got 2 2nd rounders when he'd only go to nyr lol.

Why are the Sharks trading Sturm for a 4th? The odds that a late 4th becomes anything are negligible and they'd rather have his leadership for the full year and have him walk for nothing in free agency next year.

A late first and fluff won't be the winning bid.

Mario Ferraro is not fluff, but he also isn't right handed so the fit isn't great.

An extensive bottom pairing LHD when Winnipeg has no need for any LHD is definitely fluff. He has no value to Winnipeg.
