The future with only the youth in house
Forward core looks actually like really good, just gotta develop. even if just half those guys work out we are in great shape.
got to figure out the D for the future though

Rossi is available but READ ME
I do agree with you that if rossi is moved it will be for high value, but I don't think teams will just do a young player swap with you just for the sake of doing it. I could more likely see picks and a good caliber NHLer unless a prospect needs like a change of scenery

3C option V2
Couture is a great player and plays a game that won’t get too compromised by age for maybe a few more years, but he is hurt, and there is really no garuntee he is coming back which sucks

Trading 10th pick to San Jose outright
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Seiched</b></div><div>What? At this point Bystedt is generally trending higher than his original draft position. Sharks might trade for the 10th, but it would be almost straight up for Bystedt with a later round pick added. People are fooled by so much media attention nowadays for incoming draft class that they are putting higher value on kids than they are. Beyond Celebrini and Demindov, its a crapshoot. Just like last year where it is a crapshoot beyond the 3.
NJD biggest issue is G, so I would imagine they make the move with the 10th for an established G.</div></div>
I’m so confused what you are saying lmao
But yes we should keep bystedt. Obviously

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dgibb10</b></div><div>Yeah definitely sounds like a fit in NJD as a guy who you hope to be an elite 3C long term behind Jack and Nico
I think the value is fair but neither team does it. Zetterlund is looking excellent in SJS but without the opportunity I don’t know if he’d be as good in NJD in a smaller role.
I think I may also want to at least try to give that role to an in house option, whether it’s Clarke (who’s had a similar progression to Zetterlund becoming a sort of AHL superstar, or starting 25-26 (hopefully) Gritysuk.</div></div>
exactly well said, value is probably fine but neither team does it.

I’m not an expert on Bystedt, so someone would have to give me the sales pitch on him and tell me about him as a player</div></div>
Big bodied center, came over to the AHL at the end of the year and kind of lit it up as a 20 year old. can probably play anywhere in the top 9 at some point in his career, seems to be exceeding expectations, but its too early to tell most likely. I just don't think it makes sense for either team to be moving assets like this. Type of player Mike Grier probably loves

Marners a great player, but he would need an extension to be worth anything to a non playoff team. Marner for San Jose without an extension is legit 0 value.

all this does is set us back, Bystedt showing he may be able to exceed expectations, and Zetterlund already has

If they are throwing picks to get rid of him and he suddenly pops at his current cap hit until 2030 then someone looks like a freaking genius. If he is a complete hot mess in 24-25, his buyout cost is like 840k. I think it is well worth the risk. Which is why I don't see the Canes racing to chase him. They probably want to do something before NTC kicks in though.</div></div>
I agree, if they approach the sharks and throw picks at them to take KK, I probably do it

Its a 6th rounder, not like I made it a first, also id be happy for it to be Future Considerations, but EDM could absolutely move on from Ceci for cap reasons

Primary Goal - NHL Draft and Offseason - 1
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>yikes</b></div><div>Yup, the D core needs their leader.
Shakir is amazing and Ferraro is gonna be here a while; but the rest are question marks or need more to time showcase what they truly are.
None of them are going to jumpstart this process tho like these new prospects. I’d rank my personal favourites as:
1A Parekh (RD) 1Aa? Buium (I can’t choose between them)
2A Dickinson 2B Lev (RD)
3 Silayev
For who I want. But it’s close as you can see. End of the day each one is completely different.
Buium is LD - incredible skater who’s amazing offensively but has continued to get better and better at defence. A safe bet, but a really good bet.
Parekh is RD - easily compared to Erik Karlsson offensively, comes with that defence/ off the puck issue. It’s an all in bet, you either win it big and reap the rewards or you bust.
Dickinson is LD - don’t know much/ don’t have a large opinion but heard he’s arguably the safest pick, and is large. He’s great at a lot, physical, and he’s very good in his own end.
Silayev is LD - heard the Hedman comparisons. Skeptical of that but hard to deny what he’s done/ doing and how he’s a giant.
Lev is RD - so much hype, is it maybe too much? Idk.</div></div>
Walking away with Buium would be amazing, No way Lev falls to 8 given all the hype for better or for worse.
Buium would be the best option, but it is worth noting LD vs RD. Getting Parekh would be huge.

Good assessment! As long as tavares waives I would do every move here.
I think trading up is actually really important here to select a quality Dman ,I have no problem going LD either, I would just get the best Defensemen available. Dmen tend to take a little longer to develop the pro game as well, so I think it is really important to get one in the prospect pool as quick as possible
