Remove Calgary. It doesn't make sense for CGY to trade for him

This is just to see what fanbases think, these are some basic packages I think Marner would be worth. Obviously a caveat is that Marner signs a long term extension with your team. If you disagree I'd love to hear what other fanbases think he is worth to your team.

The ANA response is a ruined relationship. Less than zero interest in anything remotely close to this. Not a single core piece is on the table for Marner and the $11-$12M he wants

I'll tell you right now, you're overvaluing Marner. obviously a great player, but he's a very expensive perimeter winger with a full NMC and needs a new contract. if Treliving calls Anaheim and says "hey, Mitch Marner is willing to waive his NMC for your team. give us McTavish." they'd laugh you off the phone

As others have said, marners nmc and him wanting a huge contract extension severely limits the return Toronto would get for him.

Hawks aren't going to move Rinzel for Marner in any sort of deal. Hawks are especially thin at RHD and Rinzel is very solid with almost a lock as a top 4.

Sign and trades arent allowed anymore, and Marner held the leafs hostage once already

To echo the others, The Ducks laugh at Toronto asking for just McTavish let alone a + on top

Get Anaheim out of there

That’s just delusional think that McTavish has to have a 2nd attached for a Marner rental

Let’s be a little more reasonable here Leaf Land

Read the comment, its conditional on Marner signing a long term extension. instead of just ripping what is probably fair why dont you send what you think Anaheim should offer because I'd imagine the true value is somewhere in the middle of what either of us think.

They would absolutely move Rinzel for Marner in a package dont be silly. Ones a 95 point winger that gets selke votes, ones a prospect (a good one) but a prospect.

We won’t want to pay Marner $12,000,000 or whatever he thinks he’s going to make

You simple aren’t getting a McTavish for Marner swap 1 for 1 either. Think about trades from the other teams pov and not a Leaf bias

Fowler won’t waive. More like Vatrano, Strome, BOS 2nd

To summarize, we love Marner’s production and that he plays RW. We however don’t have interest in investing $12M into him when all of Minty, Zell, Leo, McT, Gauthier, Zegras, Luneau will need new deals in the next 2 years. They’re our core, not Marner who doesn’t play a Verbeek style

The Philly one is interesting for both sides from a player fit perspective, but I can't see Marner waiving to go play for Torts. Also, that pick has conditions that almsot certainly guarantee it will actually be in 2025, not 2024.

Most of the rest of these are pipe dreams. No team is parting with a top prospect or top young ELC player (like MacTavish) for a rental OR for the privilege of paying Marner 13 million dollars a year til he's 36.

Don't be silly, the Hawks are rebuilding and 1 year of Marner does nothing for them other than to retain 50% and flip him at the TDL. Without an extension in place, and everyone knows Marner is going to test the free agency market and likely go to the highest bidder, somewhere around $13M per year, he's not worth much to the Hawks.

Furthermore, the Hawks. have the #2 OA pick in the draft and they have the intent on drafting Demidov which many think is the case, Marner even long term is going to be much less interesting to the Hawks.

This would be a pretty competitive offer. I'm sure the leafs would want one of Mctavish or Luneau and if those are non starters for the ducks then he probably gets traded elsewhere.

Mitch Marner is a very talented perimeter player, but not the type of guy anyone who actually wants to make the playoffs should trade for. Call Utah, they would probably love a talented perimeter player who scores points only in the regular season. Basically you’re not going to find takers that will pay what you want. Eventually, you’ll have to accept whatever the best offer is or let him walk away from you in free agency for nothing.

All that said, it doesn’t make any sense for Buffalo to even be remotely interested in bringing Marner in.

We more than encourage that. Quite honestly 0% McTavish is remotely close to being on the table for him. Luneau is closer to 2% 😂

They're absolute non starters, as would any of our other top prospects and top ELC players.

Tor might get Marner to waive for a few teams, but there will be a minimal bidding war, and you're not going to get a top young player the other way, you'll have to settle for spreading his money out over more depth.

Depends on the price of the longterm extension. $11M maybe, $13M no way. Now would the Hawks give up (2) 1sts plus one of their LHD prospects like Wyatt Kaiser or Philips or Allan sure, that's possible. But they aren't giving up Rinzel, especially if the Hawks do indeed draft Demidov. Alternatively possibly Riechel, 1st and Murphy or (2) 1sts and Murphy.
