Solid team! Cap is also estimated to go up to 87.7 so you’d also have 4M$ to upgrade MacEwen and JBD if youd like!

Agreed Ottawa needs a true starter/ 1A and Boston needs a more mobile 2 way dman that can help out the Bruins transition game. Bruins have also lacked a dman with an elite shot since chara

All comes down to Ullmark on if he'd waive his NTC.

Just need Ullmark on board. After being miserable in Buffalo before coming to Boston, he is gonna have to get sold that Ottawa has turned it around as an org. Certainly, the new head coach needs to be in place.

That would be a no for Chicago. They resigned Mrazek for two more seasons, no need for another goalie.

I think that Bruins trade does make sense fro both sides, Bruins have been interested in Chychrun for forever too. As others have said, it all comes down to Ullmark waiving him NTC for Ottawa which isn't a given, but I think there's a better chance then some others think. From what was reported it seemed like staying on the east coast was important to him around the deadline, so maybe he can be sold on Ottawa.

Also I think it'd take more to sign Roy.

However much I may personally agree with you, that isn't exactly true. From the way KD was talking, he doesn't seem so keen on handing Soderblom the backup job. And if he is going to make him fight for it, that probably means he is bringing in another goalie, because Stauber and Commesso aren't likely to be ready next year. Stauber is honestly probably just an AHL level stop gap. His games last season in the NHL were a fluke. He is ok, but he isn't THAT good.

Sure, but unless Ullmark really loves Ottawa or they back up a brinks truck with an extension to make him love it, I don’t see him waiving.

I agree this could be a possibility. And it is only 1 year for Forsberg.

I would actually be ok with them bringing in another veteran goalie to pair up with Mrazek but a 4th round pick for Forsberg and his $2.75m cap hit wouldn’t be enough which is part of the reason I would decline.

I would actually prefer they swing for a homerun and take Campbell from Edmonton as long as he comes with a 1st and high level prospect. Hopefully he rebounds and finds his game again and you end up with two solid veterans which provides the Hawks with organizational depth and trade option flexibility.

I don't think Edmonton is gonna pay that to move him. They are better off just buying him out.

True, that shouldn't be enough to get CHI's help with cap issues. Like @klassic said, though, I don't think EDM will pay to move Campbell. But, if they want to, then CHI should definitely be in on it. Maybe with the pressure off on a team that isn't expected to contend in CHI, he can find his groove again.

NSH would likely accept that deal. With the talent Norris has that price is worth the injury prone risk.
