Marners got the Blues

Well, yeah, because there are like 4 Blues fans on this website lmfao. A good chunk of the fans on here are Leaf fans.
And go my goodness god forbid people make mock trades on a mock trade website.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mokumboi</b></div><div>Exactly no Blues fans have offered Parayko for Marner. Almost none want him gone, and the few who do are the dumbest Blues fans possible, dumber than seems real. Your grasp of factual reality regarding all things Parayko is abysmal, man.</div></div>
Calling your own fans "the dumbest Blues fans possible" over an opinion might be why you're one of this sites most disliked users. Food for thought.

Ehlers for Norris swap could work straight up tbh. Only question is can Norris stay healthy

How is he regressing? He played top minutes on a bad team that had a D core of AHL players lol. He's been fine. He's exactly what the Jets need.
Not like this package would get him anyway, a bunch of meh wouldn't make them part with Wegar.

Yeah, I'm sure a late first and a projected middle 6 forward + a cap dump is an overpayment for one of the leagues better defenders.
If he can remain good into his mid 30's who cares?

The metrics indicate he's a top pairing defender and has been for years. Just because a player doesn't wear a Jets jersey doesn't make them bad.
In fact, Weegar is the exact defenseman the Jets need. Right handed and can eat minutes against top comp beside Morrisey. Cap will have gone up significantly before his contract is a problem.
You just don't like looking at it that way because you don't want to give up B tier assets

The Jets aren't moving Barlow and a 1st for a 30YO with a bad contract.
Chychrun as an LHD that won't extend and isn't needed in Winnipeg has little value to the Jets. Ehlers would be moved to fill a hole.
The Jets don't have enough RHD that they can give one away for nothing.</div></div>
Bad contract? He makes 6m and is one of the best shutdown defenders in the league.
Any top 4D is a need for the Jets. Dillon is walking and Samberg isn't a 2LD. Heinola is a bust.

Arizona (not calling them Utah yet) stated they wanna rework the D core.
My guess is seeing how much GM's favour big, physical defenders, they might take that route. Can't see Bean and Boqvist having a need to fit that especially when they have Moser and Durzi as puck movers.
Schmaltz makes a few million less and is better, too.

When other goalies/player do stupid things. people still talk about it. People get more upset when it's Binnington because he's a repeat offender.

There's a difference between standing up for yourself/teammates and taking blatant runs, headshots, and high sticks at players.
Suggesting otherwise is just Don Cherry brain rot. This isn't the 90's anymore. If you want to spark your team, you send a 4th line plug to lay a hit. You don't stick a player in the face lmao

He literally just got fined like 2 months ago for high sticking Evangelista in the face lol. Nobody is blowing anything out of proportion, he's a repeat offender. These are recurring instances man. Even other players have spoken out about him.

Agreed goalies nowadays are too versatile, but he's worth the 6mil and is a proven winner, something Toronto would be over the moon to get.</div></div>
Toronto should not and will not overpay for a goalie that is always in some sort of heat because he has the temper of a 9 year old.
Yeah, getting fined 5k this season for purposely high sticking someone in the face is definitely having a competitive spirit, my bad!

Lets talk about Marner
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tkecanuck341</b></div><div>To your point, I think a Guentzel-like return is very realistic. Keeping in mind that Pittsburg retained some salary, took back a decent (but arguably overpaid) offsetting player (with term) in Bunting, and didn't get a guaranteed 1st round pick or top quality prospect in return.
I don't think the Kings have any interest in trading PLD, but here's what a comparable deal would look like.
To LA:
Mitch Marner ($2.4M retained, no extension included)
Nick Robertson
To Tor:
Pierre-Luc Dubois
Arthur Kaliyev
Jordan Spence
Francisco Pinelli
2025 2nd (becomes 2025 1st if LA makes SCF)
2025 5th (pick transfers if LA wins the Cup in 2025)</div></div>
I'd take a swing on PLD, because I definitely think he can bounce back to a 60+pt PWF. My only issue with taking him is it's like he plagues every team he goes to. I recently watched a video that details the success of each team he was on when he went to them, and it was interesting to see how negatively he's impacted every team he's been on.
There's no surprise his on and off ice attitude kinda sucks. I like the trade you proposed if PLD wasn't a meat head.
