Leafs more than likely decline that. Add Kovacevic to the package and we have a deal.

Dvorak may have a 4.45 million dollar cap hit, but he is owed a 5.725 million dollar salary next season. That's about the least attractive "get to the cap floor" piece possible for a small market team, and we don't need your help to reach the cap floor, we're going hunting in free agency.

You'd have to pay us to take Dvorak, and richly.

Dvorak is a cap dump, don't think he is that bad but the 3rd should be going the other way

if the Sens were that dead set on Parekh (or anybody else who might be there at 5 and theyre convinced wouldn’t still be there at 7) and made that trade I’d be fine with it

Don't see Ottawa paying to move up to 5th from 7th, when it seems extremely likely that one of those juicy RHD studs will still be at 7th anyway. I think it's probably some combination of Celebrini, Demidov, Levshunov, Catton, and Silayev top 5. So that leaves both Parekh and Yakemchuk on the board for Ottawa, plus a host of other reasonable choices if they opt for something other than an RHD. Especially considering it sounds like MTL might just draft Iginla there anyway, there's just no pressure to move up imo.

I mean... it not a crazy price to pay, I just don't think there's a huge gap between the person they'd move up for at 5 and they best guy left at 7. Imo the only guy to me that screams "move up for" is Levshunov. If he were somehow still on the board at 4 you go hard on him imo.

19th. JBD was 26th. But both were ranked in the 40-55 in mocks

For some reason I was thinking he was 8th OA, but then I remembered the Nordic all offense RHD who never really broke out was Adam Boqvist. I got them mixed up.

Sharks 100% do that deal… if we get 1st OA and Celebrini, and if all the top RD like Parekh, Yakemchuk, Levshunov etc are picked before our turn with the PIT pick.

Wennberg was traded for a 2nd...Dvo isnt a capdump (if healty) and a 3rd is under the market value.

I'm not saying ANA would pay that for a UFA, but a contender would.

Summer market and trade deadline market are 2 completely different thing.

In my eyes, Barron has very very little value. So no from SJ...

Irrelevant since, you know, MTL can just wait and trade him at TDL.

Maximise assets; it's what rebuilding teams do.
