Description
If Pettersson and Lindholm mesh well and go deep look to convince them to leave a little money on the table to make a strong contender for their best years.

Setup all your role players to 2-3 year contracts to allow prospects and other opportunities to be seized.

Not sure if Tanev is the right answer for our #2 RHD but need to find a value player here to hold the position until Willander or another player fills the role.

This gets the majority of our roster through the hardest parts of the OEL Buyout and allows new players to overtake some of the Role players as they develop.

probably id rather pass on blueger and play suter #C instead. free up some space to sign a decent 3rd pairing LHD.

Could see CHI taking mediocre veteran forwards but I think they might be ready to just let the kids play at D.

VAN shouldn't have too much problem moving Poolman though, he's not terrible and his contract is not outrageous.

Too much for Blueger. Career fourth liner blowing up. Love to see it. Scared to pay $3.5M for it.

Tanev, Joshua and Hronek will definitely be more even if Pettersson and Lindstrom take a hair cut those other players will get a lot more on the open market.

Have to identify the core and lock them up. If they can re-up Petey, Hronek and Lindholm, plus add Tanev on a decent deal then I'd be very happy. They'll likely have to find cheaper replacements for Blueger, Joshua, DeSmith and Lafferty to free up the cap space for the core signings though.

That line has just been so good, giving a short contract to both Joshua and Blueger to keep it together for 2 more years I think is worth it. I see him more like what JTM was on Tampa coming to Van, a good player on a strong team not getting the minutes because of the strength of the players in front of him. 3.5M could be a steal on a 3 year term with the cap going up and we get his best years allowing our Center Depth to develop to strong players in the AHL before pushing into the NHL.

Move pius suter up and forget the Blue Teddybear. Vancouver looks to be a force to be reckoned with next season as well with a few decent moves.

Hronek had a great start for production but has fallen off a bit and everyone knows the reason his numbers are so good is from playing beside one of the most gifted puck moving defenseman in the NHL. 6x6 is a nice pay bump and I think he enjoys playing with Hughes enough to take it and run. If Tanev is more find another value D man for short term, he is an aging defensive D man and isnt physically big enough to punish opposing players, at 34 years it's what he is worth. Joshua might be worth more but he's not 2nd line material or 3C and teams are getting smarter about how much they spend on 3rd/4th line wingers there are enough value players he might get less on the market.

He's LTIR so doesnt take up an actual roster spot but helps get to the cap floor for bottom feeder teams

Poolman is essentially LTIRetired, if I'm not mistaken. He played 3 games last year and hasn't played since.
