Pure fantasy. Let a fella dream.
I could see the Blues trying to pull off one or two similar moves, however--especially if Pietrangelo isn't re-signed.

Fantasy indeed. Genuinely curious about the sign-then-trade with Byfuglien. What's the thought process behind it?

That’s a no from Detroit, that’s 32OV + 63OV for a dump and bottom six forward.

I’ve seen a few Werenski trades before - and I don’t think the Jackets will move him - but that’s an interesting proposal.

I think they’d really push for Thomas as part of the return package, and being behind ROR and Schenn maybe it makes sense for the Blues (but Thomas will be a stud IMO), but your original offer is certainly something to chew on. Not perfect, but a good start.

As a Detroit fan I can say we’re not trading picks - Yzerman wants as many as he can get - but I think Blais has some value to other teams, just not us.

Thomas wouldn't do it. Werenski is legitimately good enough - and our depth is sufficiently stocked - such that he's basically a Superstar Offers Only asset. Schwartz would legitimately be of very high interest, but not to that degree.

Philly doesn't want Justin Faulk. No one wants Justin Faulk.
