you are correct that he would not cost a 1st to dump but he is not some asset you isles fans think he is. using free agency deals as your evidence is pretty stupid since most of them end up being bad contracts.

why would the sens waste $5 mil on pageau. They can sign pinto for that exact amount. He literally wants $5 mil. why would the sens choose to not sign him for $5mil and instead trade him for that package. They don't have $5mil in cap space to waste on an overpaid 3c.

I know its hard but please try to use some critical thinking skills sometimes josh. Even if the sens were looking to trade pinto they would be looking for a player with similar potential. Not a late 1st and 2 3rd liners.

chychryn trade was crap. I do admit that. My point is the gm also did a really good deal with ullmark. they have no reason to trade pinto for crap.

how does wenneberg signing for $5mil have anything to do with pageau. wennberg is younger and the team that signed him needed to hit the camp floor.

Funny how you talk about chychryn. If your isles fans proposals were so fair why have they never been accepted in real life. You keep on offering such generous crap for good players but seems like in real life that's not how it works. If it was so easy to trade to overpaid 3cs, garbage prospects and late 1sts for good players why have the isles not done it.

I have seen over 500 proposals of isles fans offering pageau, crap prospects and late picks.

lol you need to do some research. It was closer to at least 20+ on konecny and easily 30+ on the laughton offers. Go check the offers in the last 2 weeks. You say csick is overvaluing his teams players but isn't that what you are doing.

a center is worth more than a winger. everyone knows this (if you don't please go follow another sport)
pintos demands are $5mil.

The sens would never touch this because rationally it would not make sense to trade a center who wants $5 mil for a winger who already makes $5 mil especially when they have an uncertainty at center because of norris injury.

Its just common sense.

Not to mention the whole trade thing that came out is a negotiation tactic. If you did 5 mins of research(i know research is hard to do) on pintos agent you would know he has tried the same thing with his previous clients (guess what - they never got traded either).

And even if pinto was available would the sens not looking to move him towards another center. like necas perhaps. they have no reason at all to hypothetically trade him for a winger when they themselves are short on good centers.
