Not happening . Pageau is a cap dump

I would not do this as an Isles fan. The team you put together in my opinion is a fringe playoff team. I do not want to give up more draft capital or prospects to chase a window I believe is already closed. I would rather trade Brock and Kyle and tear this thing down so you have time to rebuild before Barzy and Horvat age out.

Now if he didn't ask for a trade yet....The reports don't look good that Pinto's side isn't talking contract wit your team.

Regarding Pageau, I have not delusions of his value. But it was mentioned that Ottawa was possibly interested in him and obviously since he made his name in Ottawa it seems like a good fit. I don't think any isles fan honestly thinks he's going to fetch a 1st or 2nd rounder. But I don't think he's a total cap dump either.

I don't know if the trade trading Chychrun away was crap, or the one trading for him. It's entirely possible that no other team ever saw Chcyhrun as having a value of a 1st and Dorion heavily overpaid. I never liked the Chychrun trade.
