Also, saying he doesn't have it is baseless...he isn't put in the same situations to show he has it (Durrr)..... so there Ding goes again blah blah blah with his situation talk.... hahaha.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DirtyDangles</b></div><div>Apparently you struggle to read since I did show my explainations in description. I like to use the most recent Team Canada as a reference since that makes the most sense. As for your "if he played in the right situation" blah blah blah, ya sure if every player in they NHL played in the perfect situation they would all thrive. Couturier is a great shut down player, he is not Toews though. 50 points will not happen in his career. Do you watch any games? I watch every game and he just doesn't have it.</div></div>
Revisit this post when Coots hits 50pts. Didn't call him Toews.... How many minutes does Toews play per game? How much time does he get on the PP? You really are a quantity type.
'blah blah blah' - there you go again.
That may work in life for you right now... don't expect to get by on that tho. Maturation comes to us at different times in life.
Never seen a game yet, hope to, one day.

Giroux didn't make TEAM CANADA so Duchence > Giroux - that logic is messed up..... come on now.
Duchene tho has had ample time on the TOP PP unit in COL.
HUGE difference.
Duchene has NOT had to face the opposing teams TOP LINES all the time.
Duchene has a much higher percentage O zone start/shift than Coots in their one ice histories.
Coots could hit 50 on the top PP for sure, as well he is a beast defensively.
On top of that, you give away Sanhiem (I know it's a potential thing here - but you do realize what he has done in Jr's and how he has looked in the AHL, right?).
The Flyers 5v5 play is horrid, if they improve there, they'll be okay. Grabbing Duchene to make them better there won't work, esp giving up a guy in Coots that has to shut down top lines while on the ice. Doesn't make sense.</div></div>
LMFAO! Actually Giroux did make team Canada.
Thinking Couts will ever hit 50 points is just plain stupid. He is a shut down player and that is it!</div></div>
It goes to show you are a quantity type poster here.... Giroux was NOT on the Olympic roster.... yes the WC one, but not on the Olympic, so my point is vaild.
ALSO, Coots not reaching 50 pts as stupid? If you knew more about hockey and TOI and situational play you wouldn't have commented that way. The way to spoke only speaks to you and your lack of knowledge in how the players would be used. Sad really. I would suggest doing some more homework in that department and really break down the 'whys' of the trades/ideas you have.
I know this is a fantasy board but come on, the LMFAO and 'stupid' comments........ give some facts/arguments on to the why and then maybe you would have some credibility to your posts not just quantity.

You don't hear Couturiers name come up for Team Canada, but Duchene has already played. The Avs depth is awful so putting Duchene with some skilled players would make a big difference. Duchene can put up 60-70 points, Couts tops out at 40.</div></div>

17/18 Little/Myers
I for one NEVER trade Coots for a D as we will fill our D in the future with our prospects (certainly trending that way).
Coots is a beast, such an under rated player across the league.
Always loved Littles game - I wonder what it would take to get him here for a couple of years.
Myers and his injuries would worry me as a GM, he is a RHD which is nice but if he can't play healthy, not much point in giving up a stud 200' C in Coots to get him. Pass from me.

A realistic approach to the Flyers 17/18 roster.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NateElder12</b></div><div>This is exactly what I'm hoping for! However, I could easily see Vandevelde get an extension this offseason and take Cousins spot on the 4th line lol. Also, the defensive pair are what I expect. However, it too wouldn't surprise me if Hakstol put Sanheim with AMac since he likes to<strong> strap our rookie defenders to AMac</strong> to "develop" them (i.e. Ghost/Provorov)..</div></div>
Too funny that has been the case.
I like what Cousins brings to the team, speed and vision, 200' game, draws penalties, can play ANYWHERE in the lineup - don't want to see that missing next year. VDV, is barely a NHL player, but he is loved by Hakstol.... sad really. He doesn't belong.

Getting Hischier or Patrick
Def not interested in the 1st ovr pick.
Would NOT do this at all. Neither player is the answer to our issue(s).
Giving up one of our best def C is abysmal. To wait to see if either pans out right away or if there is a wait.
There is NO quick fix. It'll be a 'long' game as per Hexy. Wait it out.
This is another horrid idea.

He is killing it in the SHL. He will def push for a spot. Following him this season I'd be surprised if he isn't on the Flyers next season.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DirtyDangles</b></div><div><i><strong>Coots is our 3C or at least should be. He is strictly a defensive player</strong> and needs tools around him to help thrive in that shut-down role, Vermette doesn't help us. As for Stolarz needing a mentor, I don't think you can have a better one then Mase.<strong> Mase has been through it all and is a very good goalie</strong>.</i></div></div>
Coots drives play 5v5, he needs less D zone starts and more O zone starts and his numbers will climb, he also gets a lot less time on the PP being on the 2nd unit.
Hows does Vermette NOT help us, please enlighten me.
Mase is fragile mentally.... he has been great for Stolarz so far I'm sure but Elliot is older and has seen a lot more than Mase and will be cheaper as well. The goal is to get Stolarz ready sooner, not have mase take up $$ by being here.

Not meant too.... a mentor for Stolarz and if elliot falters, Stolarz takes reigns. Vermette would absolutely help the 3rd line C pos. He is a face-off machine, takes the load off both Giroux and Coots.... and can produce 5v5.....
