Tbh the more I think about it I dont know if it would be the right decision, might just sign sprong or something.</div></div>
most cup contending teams wont have cirelli in there top6. he was on ur 3rd line when u guys were in the finals as soon as he has been paid to play top 6 u guys havent gotten out of the first round. thats not a coincidence

that would be terrible for the canes, there already in a cap crunch and cirelli is at best a 2c making 6m+ on a cap struck team for a LONGGGGG time with with a nmc/mncm after this year. hes a great 3c and an ok 2c whos great in his own zone but not many teams are going to think about touching that deal for at least 2-3 years if he keeps up 40+ points. (could be wrong but i feel like i remember him being hurt a good bit which when i look at games played over the last few years it matches up 80+ only once and 75+ only 3 times of his career)

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>homiedaclown</b></div><div>That’s a VERY EASY “no” from Buffalo
Just not interested in Robertson at all
We have so many more talented forward prospects that he’d be buried in the AHL & never get a chance
Plus, we like Jokiharju
Just isn’t gonna happen</div></div>
wasnt 100% sure about buffalo. u guys got some young forwards but imo Robertson is currently better then a lot of ur kids edge nhl/ahl so a year or 2 of 20+ goals and then being able to move him i thought was plenty well of a fit. u guys have tons of money in ur Dcore(or at least will after a few others get there money) and just feel like hes the odd one out. not 100% sure were i would value jokiharji, right shot thats a solid Defender but hes 25 and seems to be reaching his peak. wouldnt put him on the top2 pair of any contending/close to team and needs a contract.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SwarmChair</b></div><div>Robertson is worth a 5th at his absolute most. Only IF a team wants to take a flyer on him. He’s requested a trade. It’s also obvious he’s not a fit in Toronto, so he will be eventually given up on so a team can acquire him for free.
Think about the Value of a guy like Yamamoto, who’s probably better than Robertson. That’s the value of Robertson.</div></div>
i mean i just disagree, a guy who scored 15 goals with 0 powerplay time a team that clearly didnt really want him and didnt play for 25% of the season id say is far far more valueable then yamamoto who older and significantly worse offensively. plenty of teams could use a young speedy 15-20 goals player in there bottom 6 for dirtcheap money. hes worth imo a late 2nd or early 3rd but i could see the value dropping to a 3rd/4th to a non div rival bc the trade request. his only thing against him is hes a light small forward. wouldnt be hard for him to gain 5-10 pounds and he will be a speedy 3rd liner who scores 20 as his floor.

this is one of those rosters that if they finished bottom 5 i wouldnt be shocked but if they got the last wildcard spot i also wouldnt be shocked. if mantha ever reaches the next level he teases and if huuby ever returns to his elite form then it could be great (as long as wolf plays like a decent starter) but i also could see it imploding

Hardly a perfect fit to play w/ Bedard. Hawks also wouldn't burn one of their two retention slots to acquire Robertson either. Hawks pass.</div></div>
it would be for 1 year, ur likely to move him at the TDL retained. not many people will call at the TDL if ur not. him, hall and martinez are the only guys who will gain value with ret% and will need to, to move them. hes "undersized" but it any weight gain he will be fight. the idea that someone of his size cant play because hes a few inches shorter then the avg NHL player when there are multiple "undersized" superstars and great players is such a dumb way to lessen a player or there value. having Bedard who is a great space creator, and while being known for his flashy goals hes a great playmaker and will only improve. him + a young sniper only needs a 2 way playmaker to make that an elite line in 3 years.

I just don't think the Hurricanes are gonna want to give up two top-6 pieces... only 2 Dman that would have any value to us would be slavin who wouldnt be worth as much to us as u bc we have nurse long term, broberg and Ekholm on the left. morrow is the only guy that we would give a ton of value to, walker is good but dont see being a huge main guy in the trade, would have to be necas + 2 1sts + durry as the base that gets us on the phone. drai wouldnt really go anywhere without an extension and that ads value to an already massive haul that it would require. i dont see many teams having the assets to get him and its more likely that we pay the assets to dump nurse (esp if he has a bounce back year) and pay drai whatever he wants considering hyman RNH (and expecting) Broberg and holloway to be much cheaper then there market rate. kane shouldnt be hard to move + cap increase skinner is cheap next year and a few depth guys that are super cheap + a few young guys coming up i doubt we dont just keep him unless a team really really wants to pay for him

Nylander had scored less points in more games with more icetime then roberston on a much much much much worse Blackhawks team as his first "full" season. he then didnt even play another NHL game for 3-4ish years. Robertson isnt even close to that. hes clearly plenty talented enough to be a 3rd/4th line 15-20 goal scoerer as his floor. Nylander didnt look great while roberston needs to add a bit of weight and would easily be a great 2nd liner for so many teams

would give us a dirt cheap tandem so we dont burn skinner in the regular season and we could ride the hot hand + have an asset wen one wants big money. would 1000000% be current roster players were not gonna move drai to rebuild for 2030 were trying to win now with McDavid so if u want a top4 player u need to give us players who help us now and in the future

Id argue that robertson is much more valueable. I think his vlaue is a late 2nd/ early 3rd. gave the div tax to a few teams. Think u guys dont need Dvorak and nobody is calling about with that contract getting a young goal scorer to compliment the bright future imo would be great. low risk high reward giving up ur 3rd/4thc and a useless 3rd/4th rounder that most likely wont be anything and u already have an elite prospect pool

Id argue a 22 yearold (soon to be 23) goal scorer who is only going to get better is a perfect fit to play with bedard + a playmaker. hes young and has good potential and already is a decent NHLer whos going to get 20+ on any team next year

im not even a Tor fan im an edm fan who also likes boston. I couldnt gaf about most of the Tor roster but saying a 14 goal scorer and .5 point player at 22 isnt going to get at least an ok return is wild. plenty of teams like boston and Seattle would gladly take him. both teams have holes in depth scoring hell id be glad to give up one of our non NHL kids for someone at the same age who is a lock to be a 20+ goal scorer for the next few years at pretty cheap money

just hard disagree. even with the cap raising having a long term buyout on a backup who actually fits u guys pretty well and being barley under cap with only 2 extra skaters is pretty bad. bert was going to get 5.5 from somewhere so it was bert + one of the lower end FA centers or lindholm + watever 1 year deal they sign from now till training camp

he will easily fill 3wing mins for us and with any injurys he can fill top6. he has 2 years left and is a 40-50 point power forward. were not paying someone to take him. there will be a team that calls about getting him and if not its fine. we are going to dump Ceci with a 4th or something and be under the cap so it doesnt really matter. the idea that a 5m winger who is only slightly overpaid and plays the exact type of hockey u want for the playoffs and if not for an injury in the playoffs would have a decent value, that we would have to pay anything to move him is laughable

wsh was not a playoff team. even with that argument they got absolutely destoryed by a team that got cake walked in the ECF. every other playoff team or team close to the playoffs he wasnt a top4 D. I get what u mean with if theres a better deal but much like boston fans with ullmark i dont see how this isnt extremely disappointing.

Where Do We Go from Here
dare i say this is a worse roster then last year. samy was streaky but hes a very solid goalie and im not sure stolarz is any upgrade. woll is still an injury concern (more so then last year) lossing bert hurts ur top 6 heavy. unless lily OEL and Tanev all have career years and Robertson and knies become 20-25 goal scores and 50+ point players (which i have my doubts) i dont think this is better id argue its worse. Henrique also just resigned with us

i think beecher is going to take a massive step forward tbh. could see him taking the 2winger with pots/coyle and march. hes got a big body and speed so after a camp + time working on the wing i think he could easily fit in well. fredy coyle and geekie will all have shots to play with pots and march(im guessing the plan is pots as 2c for growth and to play with march to get the vet gain)
i honestly dont see nelson ever getting more then a few NHL games. 5 years of college never really was a heavy stand out last year got 1 point in like 13 AHL games and looked pretty invisible imo for most of them. hopefully im wrong and he shoots up as much as u think but id bet brazeau becoming a 20 goal scorer more then nelson becoming a top 9 player
