Brutal 4th Line
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>squashmaple</b></div><div>That doesn't help Columbus at all, unfortunately. Bean will probably be non-qualified since his QO is too high for his production, but a defenseman who can't get out of the zone just blocks a roster spot that will be needed for a kid to get reps. It's not like Columbus will be competitive next season.</div></div>
What if you dump Boqvist or Ivan P?

Brutal 4th Line
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>squashmaple</b></div><div>So you trade a useless third pairing defenseman and one of your useless fourthliners for Columbus's useful fourthliner? Pass.</div></div>
Bahl can be useful. He was a beast in the playoffs last year. He sort of regressed. I'd be willing to throw in a pick for Oliver. Hatakka is just a better version of Bahl all around. Think of Bahl as a Jake Bean replacement.

I just looked at teams with a lot of cap space. This is just hypothetical.

Fixing and turning the page
You wrapped 4 guys up in about 45% of your cap. There needs to be a rule where it states one guy can make over 10 million in the cap like they have in MLS.

Moving On From Bahl
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LuckyMoneyPuck</b></div><div>I gIve you credit for an interesting trade.
I don't think it's a bad package for either team.
I'm inclined to say I would give this a go for PIT.</div></div>
I figure Reilly Smith, like Holtz, needs a new place. You can put him on the right or left. Maybe even second line. AG maybe 2nd line ready. If not, throw Smith on the second line or Haula, Then Move Palat to 4th line.

I'd really like to see Seigs somewhere else. He is not a 1 A defenseman.

Last year in playoffs, yeah I want that guy. But Hattaka brings the sane thing and I'd rather move Bahl ++ abd get a good defender. This team needs a top guy badly. Luke will be there but it's gonna take another year +</div></div>
He is cheaper too.

Mercer contract
Here's the thing. The cap in two years is going to rise to 91 million. Would it work if we gave him a 1 year bridge deal, ensuring that we will sign him again when the cap goes up?

Ross And More
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Smitty426</b></div><div>Sorry I meant Keegan Kolesar! I am terrible at typing so i used initials not realizing we have a KK (who looked good in small sample size)!
I think because Fitz said he was going big game hunting he is going to have too.
Also he is on the hot seat this year, as you pointed out he is going to have to do very well with: Getting a (winning) coach, Get a top name G, tighten up the LD at a min (keep Hattaka as depth), maybe add a RD to support (Matt Roy?), Fourth line revamp, keep Lazar but Nosek and Bastian (trade pkg with SJ for Sturm) should not be resigned/traded, these guys should be real hard to play against but capable.</div></div>
Should we keep Bahl? I feel like he has room to grow, but right now he is kind of like Kurtis.

I like Hague and Howden. Can probably be done without the grouping you sent. KK is pretty cheap they probably will try and keep him for depth</div></div>
When you look at the goalies available in FA, there's not much. I'd rather keep Allen and KK, plus build up the defense. Maybe Ned might be an option.

Hofer Time

The Blues have another goalie just as good as Hofer right behind him (Zherenko), and then another guy who just made a huge development leap (Ellis) behind him.
But if you feel like giving Holtz away so cheap, the Blues would love a word about that.</div></div>
What would be the package for Hofer? What is his ceiling? Saaros would be too costly a trade.

No. That can't be. The team is much worse now. This team is trash. Nobody gives a ****. With Reinhart and Brady, at least we have guys that can score and disrupt. Jack is just a diva. Nico is a great two way center, but captain he is not.
