Description

I would be very disappointed in Grier if he didn't do anything else this offseason, but at least we would get a top three lottery pick again next year.
However, this DOES NOT set us up for success in '25 - '26 when we're trying to sign high profile FA's like Draisaitl (no proof of concept that the rebuild is heading in the right direction). Nor does it protect / surround our youngsters with quality NHL'ers this year AND we still have the worst D in the league.

i doubt he does this, but I wouldn't necessarily say worst case, if couture comes back healthy, with Celebrini and Smith, we have a top 6 that will be able to score and am much better bottom 6

D-core still sucks, but I stand by building it through the draft

IMHO I bet it looks kind of similar to this plus a top 6 forward and top 4 defenseman (hopefully 2)

You lack imagination if you think this is the worst case.

NYR trade pick 42 for 30 as a 1-for-1 swap in exchange for the Sharks taking on Goodrow's contract. The league rightly sees this as bypassing Goodrow's NTC and makes the Sharks forfeit the first overall pick as punishment. That's where my "worst case scenario" starts.
