Agreed, but it would give them a ton of maneuverability for a 2-year window in 24-25 & 25-26.

Makes sense now but paying 9.5M in dead money from 2027-2030 would essentially tank the Oilers as a franchise.

As much as he's getting flack for his performance he's still a top4 guy that can take a lot of minutes. Worth 9.5M? No, probably closer to 4.5-5M. But it's not like he brings absolutely nothing to this team.

Nurse is untradeable but I guarantee someone will take on Campbell if you throw in a first, and that takes 5M off the books and maybe allows you to sign a top RD like Pesce.

Campbell alone takes a first at least. Lindgren is another first. Otherwise there’s no deal to be made.

And I don't see Lindgren moving unless the Caps are way out of it at the deadline

I like Nurse buyout only if Drai not re-signed. Gives you 1 huge year to make a run with both him and McDavid. If Drai gone, connor maybe as well...Nurse dead cap wont matter when team is in rebuild in those years

I see your point but no owner or GM will take on 9.5M in dead money for three years. That's 1/9th of your cap space to pay a player not to play for you.
