This is in NO WAY an offseason prediction or what CGY should do.
Nor am I saying other teams should be doing these trades fit-wise and timeline-wise.
This is just my interpretation of mocks proposed by other people on this site and anywhere else online.

Well you'd have him for the 24-25 and 25-26 season, ideally the cap is high enough by then and maybe the Skinner contract is gone too. He'll likely be an 8 million player is my guess

We aren't paying 3 defensemen over 8 million. Plus Byram, plus samuelsson

I’d hate to lose Ostapchuk but yeah that’d have to be worth it. I’d probably want to see if Calgary is just interested in just Chychrun and Boston’s 1st straight up for Weegar, too

When Skinner is moved out, that Cap will be taken up by young talent who’s gonna be getting new deals
Byram, Peterka & Quinn after next year
Tuch & Benson the year after that

We just don’t have much Cap space that we can devote to bringing in new players- not long term anyways

MoxNix is special-education but he's right. Calling Minten untouchable is stubborn and doesn't align with what the leafs need to be focusing on

What's "special" is a guy who claims to be a Flames fan yet wants to sell low on every Flames player throwing insults at anyone else about their intelligence. Then you want to overpay Necas both in trade assets and again in salary to extend him. O.o

Minten isn't an untouchable level prospect but the Leafs really should be holding onto those guys.

They sold enough picks off the last five years for rentals that didn't stick around or had minimal impact on the team... Or just to dump cap.
