The Blackhawks' payroll is like $45 million so I'd say it's somewhat relevant. Get an asset for a player who can still score, likely will produce a lot more with Bedard, and could probably even flip him at a future deadline with some retention. Don't know if Chicago sees it the same way but it's not like it makes zero sense either
