I'm about 90% certain Mack doesn't return to college next year, but I don't think he is the top line center...yet.

This is a very likely roster prediction-wise. Would be interesting to bookmark this one and come back to it once the opening night roster is set -- I'd bet it'll be very similar. I think Grier lets Addison walk though.

That said, as far as my own take on it goes, I'm pretty adamant that SJ needs to move on from Kunin. To me, Duclair being brought back is fine but he's a very good 3rd line winger, I don't think it should be to play with Celebrini -- he doesn't backcheck hard or play defense well. Stephenson I really don't think is that good and doesn't warrant that contract (which he'll likely get from some team).

The good: really like the Walker signing, as well as the Duclair resigning (just in a different spot on the roster).

Forwards look good. Defense still could use some more help. Walker is a good signing but he's still more of a p3. We need top add 1 or 2 top 4 D. Addison should walk or be traded if possible.

Stephenson and Duclair might be a little soft. We need some physical players to compliment our skill guys like Celebrini and Smith.

No matter what, having Celebrini in the lineup is a huge improvement.

Ya true. Really not a 1C on the roster at the moment. I suppose Granlund could technically be called that and be asked to shoulder a big role if LC can't play next season.

Ya, not sure how attached to guys Grier will be that he has added. Certainly Burroughs or Benning could play if Addison walked.

Also not sure how engrained Kunin is in SJ, at least in the short term. Wearing an A and all this past season. Maybe he adds physicality next to Celebrini but probably want more skill.

Ya, I considered Kunin next to Celebrini but worried about skill. And idk what Kunin's future in SJ looks like despite wearing an A for a bit last season.

Based on articles, sounds like Grier and Sharks management love Kunin and want to bring him back on a multi-year contract despite his $3M QO. I don't get it. I'm not a big Kunin fan.

I don't get it either. But sometimes there's just those guys that the org/team likes. Like Mike Brown. Remember Mike Brown? At least Kunin is better than Mike Brown.

The one thing I admire about Kunin is that he is a professional athlete despite having type 1 diabetes. He does a lot of volunteer and fund raising work to help other people with diabetes. I have people close to me with T1D and they are big Kunin fans. I've seen his signed gear at fundraisers for kids with T1D.

Kunin's wife plays professional women's hockey in Minnesota. Maybe we should trade him to the Wild.

Mike Brown? There's a flashback.

Good idea for the next ACGM roster.
