Description
1. Get a new coach.

2. Get three puck movers on the defense to help the forwards, especially a PP QB.

3. Get a number 1 goalie, and run a tandem with Woll. Woll can't be relied upon to be the starting goalie for injury reasons.

4. Get a 2nd line center to play with Nylander because JT can't keep up.

Sens decline. We can get a better FA 4th liner if we wanted to spend 2M$ and not give up an asset.

Good thing they won't need a 1st for Thompson. I understand he's playing well right now, but so what Aidin Hill last year this time. Goalies are a weird breed.

The cheap cap hit makes him valuable in addition to his play. If Vegas wants to restock some picks they should trade him this offseason imo.

I agree IF the premise is they want to restock some picks. I bet they don't though because they want to win another cup and are cap constrained as well. Besides, goalies don't fetch much and a 1st round pick for a pending UFA goalie with 1 decent year under his belt. That's high risk for medium reward.

Lol Vegas isn't even gonna give you Thompson for a mid/late 1st. He makes less than league min next year. Hilarious that you think a 1st is an overpay

I have had Thompson on my fantasy team 2 seasons in a row. If you can't rely on Woll to not be injured, guess what you get with Thompson? I would totally be fine with Jones and Murray at League min deals. If Murray wins the backup job at camp, awesome. If Jones wins awesome. The other goes and splits time with Hildeby.

Provorov is available, but not for that heap of spare parts. Nothing in there is at all interesting to the Jackets.

Oh, no doubt and I made an edit because he's more valuable to LVK than the 1st, but that's AWFUL asset management for the Leafs. Darcy Kuemper had YEARS of solid play and got the #32 OA pick.

Ah fair enough, though Kuemper got a 1st and what was considered a good defense prospect at the time. Colorado just happened to win the cup making the pick 32nd OA
