Marchenko's a huge fan favorite already and that would be a hard sell to an already discontent Columbus fanbase, but the new GM might have to make hard decisions, and Rossi is a very good target for the Jackets. I would personally hate it, but it might be a good thing for the team. Some of the glut of wingers do have to go.

Marchenko is the last player on the jackets team I would trade. Well maybe behind werenski and fantilli but still.

If that's the case, you can swap Jiricek in for Marchenko grimace

I was just razzing you. I never said Rossi would be a player I'd keep over Faber.

Kind of fair, I don't mind that. It depends on who we land in the draft, though. If it's going to be a hockey trade instead of a package for an upgrade, that's a great option.

Minnesota would be getting a hell of a player.

I would personally be more inclined to keep Marchenko, but that's got a lot to do with my believing a lot more in Sillinger and Voronkov as our future centers behind Fantilli and so I'm less worried about filling that position out. It's probably fair, though. I'd be quite disappointed at the news if this actually went through but I'd likely get over it after some time. Probably. Maybe. Hopefully.
