If Couture is healthy (fingers Crossed) having him center Smith and Celebrini and Mentor both on how to play C in the NHL would be smart.

Not sure I love these trades, but I don’t outright hate them so I’ll wait to hear from the rest of the commenters

Not a fan of giving up assets to dump Schmidt - rather go the buyout route. Also, wouldn't do that Ehlers trade - there's nothing in it for WPG and they're better off keeping for that offer.

Think te team would likely start out as….

Ehlers Granlund Zetterlund
Celebrini Couture Smith
Gushchin/Bordeleau Eklund kakko
Goodrow Sturm Faksa

Schmidt Benning/ Burroughs
Mukhamadulin Rutta
Thrun Embersom

Buy out Vlasic
Bordeleau/ Gushchin (whichever doesn’t start)
Benning/Burroughs (whichever doesn’t start)
Zadina
Cooley is in the AHL

Depending on play Smith and Celebrini could cycle to C abd Eklund back to LW, and the lines would juggle depending on chemistry and play. Still not much more than a non playoff team, but won’t be -150 on the season unless goaltending blows up (with these 3 could be a lodgicsl conclusion)

Ferraro is a nice piece to get back but NYR are too thin on RW to deal Kakko without getting a positional replacement or a premium asset that we can use to get a RW.

Rangers are likely to keep Goodrow unless a team wants to pay for his services. They won’t diminish Kakko’s value to move his contract.

Drury would have to think hard about that offer. Ferrero is young enough to make it worthwhile.

Not a fan of the NYR trade. Sharks should get picks for Ferraro.

That's a lot of moving parts for only marginal D improvement. Especially when I think 'peg holds out for TDL with Schmidt as rent bait.
