Kempe would cost more than you have. With Guentzel gone, I can honestly say there's not a single player or prospect in the entirety of the Pittsburgh organization that interests me enough to even consider building a package deal for Kempe.

Lou is old school enough that I feel like the in-division cost to move Pelech would be astronomical - you would hate what you'd have to pay there. I'd think a 1st + POJ is the starting point with more needing to be added.

I'd also be confused as to why a team with a pretty pricey top 4 (Karlsson, Letang, Pettersson, Graves) would be looking to add another expensive LHD like Krug or Pelech - you're gonna wind up with a $4M+ third pair guy, which is not something you really want to do if you're trying to build up a deep playoff team.

Hard hard hard pass on Krug. No thank you at all. Pass on Jenner as well. Jenner is a good player, but isn’t the speed and youth that we need. It wouldn’t be worth spending for an older player like that. The rest of these players, besides maybe Hayton, will cost more than PIT should be willing to spend, given our current trajectory.

Including Rakell even at half off is a non-starter because we do better by simply re-signing Viktor Arvidsson. Puustinen isn't as good a prospect as Akil Thomas, Martin Chromiak or Koehn Ziemmer. Your 2024 second, 2025 first and Yager is a start, but still not enough.
