Skinner just isn’t going anywhere
This whole ACGM is pretty unrealistic

I mean, the Jackets could do that deal, but I'm not sure if it'd actually help us any. We're not exactly in a rush to dump Kuraly and we've got enough depth that More Late Picks aren't enticing.

Not disputing whether or not they would trade him, but a third is not a late pick. It’s probably as much as you could ever hope to get for him.

I mean if there was no retention on Smith sure.... but there is no point on retaining on him.
They might as well play him and flip him at TDL, someone probably takes him.
His play isn't horribly bad. He's on a roughly 40 pt pace this year. He'll be fine on the 3rd line next year.

Don't think they'd do it either way cause they have an obsession with both of the guys you're trading for but the Flyers would probably want Savoie

If it's at TDL 2025, and we're still not in the playoff picture, I'd absolutely take this for Kuraly...and slip a 4x$2M contract offer in his equipment bag on the way out, valid upon signature July 1st.

That's a fair price for a guy who's a good, gritty leader who will stand up for his teammates, who also has quite a bit of playoff experience, and can contribute a little from the 4th line.

I'd like a little more, but in a cap crunch scenario before his no trade clause kicks in, not the worst to get what we paid for him.

Sure, but he's certainly worth more considering that's what we paid for his rights.
