No thanks on Krebs and Rosen or taking in Clifton or a protected pick

i don’t think rosen and a 1st is necessarily miles off from chychrun but adding clifton would be a negative for me

There's also Krebs in the deal. A 1st and Rosen. Clifton is negative but the rest of the offer is going to make up for it.

Ottawa spent a 1st + 2nd 2nd last deadline

1st = 1st
Rosen ( technically another late first ) = 2nd
Krebs ( would say late first to early 2nd ) = 2nd
Clifton = dump but rest of the offer makes up for it.

i don’t think krebs holds that value, especially not to the sens. We already have players slotted for LW and C so krebs would be redundant

I like Chychrun but he's too close to FA, they'll get absolutely cooked in that contract and that's assuming he'll re-sign.

The other 2 are an easy no. Greenway is one of like 2 defensively capable forwards on the sabres. Ostlund is the best C prospect in the org. since savoie will likely play wing. Can't move him for a D with zero NHL games played.

Would fit way better than Kastelic Kelly etc. Let's say

Joseph Stutzle Giroux
Tkachuk Norris Batherson
Greig Pinto Tarasenko
Kubalik Krebs Kelly

yeah sure but it doesn’t make sense to value a 4th line winger or centre like that

Bump him up gradually. Won't be a 4th liner forever.

Both teams say they pass. But for us, We have too many dmen. Maybe trade Mailloux for someone like Ostlund? Or do one of these trades

Harris for Kaliyev
Xhekaj for Kakko
Mailloux for Ostlund
Barron for L'Heureux

Montreal does that. I don't think Buffalo does however.

Ditto the Blue Jackets deal. Columbus takes it, and Buffalo does not.

Mailloux is too important for us, we aren’t trading him until we know what he can do. Same thing with Barron.

Xhekaj could be traded, but it’s pretty unlikely. Harris is gonna get moved for Krebs or Kaliev or a third. Struble and Guhle could also be on the block

Guhle is going NOWHERE. Ain't no way he's getting moved.

Not Getting Traded : Reinbacher Guhle Hutson Mailloux
Could Get Traded : Xhekaj Struble Barron
Are going to get Traded : Harris Kovacevic
No space for them : Trudeau Tourigny Norlinder
Too Early to Judge : Engstrom Konyushkov

Guhle could easily become expendable if Struble continue to play the way he does presently and if Hutson’s play translate well to the league. Obv it’s not gonna be for pick or thing like that, but I could see a 1 for 1 swap with a stud young top 6 forward (Lafrenière, Necas, Mercer, Celebrini (?), Jonhson, Johnston, etc)

Mailoux is terrible defensively. No thanks.

Keep Ostlund. One of the most promising young prospects we have.

Why would we be giving up more for Chychrun with 1 year left than Ottawa gave up when he still had 2 years left
