No to all trades as a Leafs fan. I get why the Konecny trade but Bertuzzi has really looked good with Tavares and Nylander. Advanced stats and eye test show Bertuzzi doing exactly what is needed on that line. We would be waiting to see if Konecny can create such chemistry and risking a lot in such a trade. Flyers say no and yes I admit would love to see Konecny with the Leafs, I can see why both teams look at such a trade as a no go

Like, you traded for a CBJ captain once already, and he was older, a winger, set to be a UFA, had much worse production at the TDL than Jenner has now while being injured, and paid a 1st and two 4ths for the player with double retention.

Use the Horvat trade for reference. Then add more, since you get the guy on a steal of a deal for 2 more years. Then add more to make Columbus consider moving a guy they have no intention of moving. Then add more to outbid every other contender that can use and afford a Jenner. The Leafs aren't special, let's get real here.

You're really going to have to cite the rumours, because those look out of left field and don't make much sense for Columbus or Philly.

These are both not good trades. On the Philly side the only thing that has value is the 1st round picks. 2 prospects that aren't anything special does nothing for us. If we were doing this deal we would be out of contention so we would then have to flip both Vets for picks. And finally the Flyers are unlikely to retain on Risto, there is too much term.

I would say the odds of Boone being traded to the Leafs are about the same as Mathews being traded to CBJ.
