Of course the D is worse after trading Bouchard but that is how Edmonton gets Hellebuyck and dumps Campbell
Schmidt is a above average puck moving defenseman and Thompson wants out and Adin Hill is not exactly full proven for a whole season and I doubt Lehner plays for Vegas again
Skinner is better then Thompson with a larger sample size and is more accomplished being nominated and getting votes for Rookie of the year

Way too much to give up for rental goalie in Connor Hellebuyck, Outside of possibly resigning back with Winnipeg, He has no desire to play in Canada period. He's looking at the New Jersey Devils as a potential destination plus is willing to sign long term with them for a reasonable extension.

CBJ pass, No reason to do Ceci for Peeke, The only reason for Jarmo to trade Peeke is because Columbus already has far too many RHD within their system.

And Vegas definitely declines as well.
