He's got a bit of an unfair wrap IMO. Not asking him to do too much besides give Hughes freedom.

I guess I'd rather 2 years of Mantha than 3 years of Chairot

Canucks should not be trading a 1st to bring in another winger, and they definitely shouldn’t bring in Chiarot

If Caps desired to move him it would cost something. It's not just a pure dump. Garland is better all around.

Take a 2025 2nd but this draft is way too good for them to just handout great picks

Fair enough. Colton is a good player. Would he thrive in an elevated role? No guarantee.

Meh. Team slightly gets better, but loses a lot of grit and gains a lazy player. This is one of those "would you rathers" where both are awful.

Watching him and listening to him it's a very safe bet. It's little comments like when he scored with less than 3 seconds left on a feed from Kucherov to Beat Florida in game 2of the series they swept. I knew it was Kuch with the puck if I just got ready to shoot He'd get me the puck. He's a shooter something TB desperately needs . To many guys want to make the perfect pass and many can but even great passers can over do so.

He is great and I do like Pinto as well (kinda missed that he was part of the trade at first, that does make me like it more), I just don’t think the Canucks should be trading for a winger that will need a big contract when we already have so many wingers currently

I'd rather the blah forward, Mantha may not play with urgency but he's a lot less likely to cause harm playing 11 minutes a night on the 3rd line than Chairot playing 15 minutes on the back end. Other than that it's just math, less years on the deal.

We have better options in UFA and regardless we can just hold onto mantha.

AZ and Tampa both decline. AZ isn't taking on Myers full salary with their limited revenue stream. They might consider it after his $4m signing bonus is paid. And if Tampa is forced to trade Colton, they'll get far better offers than this

Detroit passes, Mantha's days in Detroit are long gone.

Bear+Boeser+Vancouver's 11th OA pick and a 4th doesn't get DeBrincat and Pinto that hardly gets DeBrincat and Pierre Dorion is extremely high on Shane Pinto.
