Demko might retire before the season started if he knew this was the D he'd have in front of him.

Barbashev and McDunough aren't centers either.

If you wanna do Studnicka for Future Considerations, CHI might give him a shot and see if they can get him going. Otherwise, I doubt they'd be interested enough to use any assets acquiring him.

Barb is a center if you look up on the nhl website and hockeydb

He doesn't play center. He was moved to the wing in STL. Don't get me wrong, he can play down the middle, but he's not as effective there.
