It's doubtful Korpisalo will settle for that little money and that much term. Someone will give him more money than that with how he has played this year.

Texier is already signed for next year since they decided to carry over the last year of his $1.525M contract.

Timo Meier likely would be expecting more than $8.4M.

There's no chance Edmonton would not match a $1.2M offer sheet for Bouchard.

Gudbranson just isn't going to be traded. The Jackets gave him term and security with a NTC so he could be settled with his family for some time. Trading him 1 year into that contract would be disastrous for future UFA signings.

Josh Mahura and Logan O'Connor are not the quality of players you trade Ceulemans and Mateychuk away for. Those two account for way too much of what the Jackets are hoping is their future defensive group.

Elvis has no value right now, let alone the kind of value that would return a significantly better and younger goalie along with a pick.

So i fixed both Mahura and O'connor trades. And gave korpi more money as well as Timo. Just removed the texier signing. I feel like they (EDM) is able to but wont as they would want more core around McDavid and Leon in their offense and maybe even in goal.

I'd probably go like 2-3x$4.5-5M on Korpi. He still has to prove he can stay healthy, but he has more than proven he is worth a good chunk of money.

Bouchard is a 23 year old right shot defenseman with back to back 40+ point seasons. He's more likely to be getting in the range of $5M+. Noah Dobson seems like a reasonable comparison and he signed his 3x$4M contract before his 2nd very productive season. Again, there's no chance the Oilers let him walk for nothing.

Just add Texier in at 1x$1.525M. That's what he'll be under contract for next year. Here's a link to what they've agreed to.
