Easy no from the Isles. With the Horvat trade it is clear Lou is trying to win now, that means he is not moving Nelson (who is not a winger) or Mayfield.

If they did the Isles could get better pieces as Kerfoot does not fit anywhere in the lineup, Sandin does not fit as the Isles have Pelech and Romanov at LD with multiple options for the 3rd pair LD and Robertsons value has declined with the injuries he has suffered.

Poor fit on the Isles’ end, especially with us shedding Nelson. Isles are going to try to win now, and any kind of Nelson trade is either part of a package to trade up for an Elite player or to begin a rebuild.

Leafs want no part of Brock Nelson’s $6M contract, with 3 years left grimace .
We have multiple FA to re-up so we can’t afford that $ / term
