The trade gives Vancouver some key peices they are missing while it gives Boston a beauty of a center to build their next rebuild around. I think i would do it on either side.

I'm kinda surprised no bruins fans freaked out yet, because they don't like Horvat for Carlo 1 for 1 but Horvat for Carlo and 2 good pieces doesn't anger them

Do you mind if I play around with this trade a little bit?

as long as Bo horvat guarantees a resign would be too mad but also depends on how debrusk performs this year cause he can have a career high this year and go above expectations.

I think the basic structure of this deal does work for both sides.

If I'm BOS I would obviously want permission to negotiate with Horvat's camp before the trade.

If I'm VAN I would ask to sub out DeBrusk for a pick or another prospect I think. VAN already has lots of wingers and don't need to take on more cap.

the tricky one right now for me is DeBrusk, he's had a great camp, preseason and start and looks like a legit point getter. That being said Horvat would be a good get, and i think the trade is fair at this point. My hangup like i said is if Debrusk keeps performing this way it may turn into kinda not fair. so id be willing to replace him with a different asset to try to make up the value.

The ones with brains objected to it. If horvat were extended, in the off-season this might make sense.

Just take at a glance at the bruins roster though.
What do they not need? Centers. What do they need? RD. It makes no sense.

Sign and trades are extremely rare, so i don’t think this could happen in the off-season either. Carlo to vancouver just isn’t a thing.

Bergeron and Kreijci realistically only have like 1-2 years left of being top 6 players

BOS isn't doing that. No need for centres right now. And if they really wanted Horvat they would wait until FA and keep their assets.

Sure thing. This year being one of those years, and also the only year horvat is signed for.
