Not enough for Eichel, and I wouldn't look too hard at Seth Jones. Was not very good this year, and openly said he wants to test free agency. He would be hard to keep and would would have to overpay on the contract.

Detroit already have 4 RD for next year (Hronek, Seider, Stecher, Lindström) and won't trade for a 5th.

That Jones deal is horrendous. No major prospects coming back. No firsts? Nothing? Chris is a 3rd line center on a so so team. This isn’t considered.

sorry buddy, but that Seth Jones trade is pretty bad...You are underestimating what Jones could bring to the table, and many teams would have no problem topping that offer. Your value is off on the Eichel trade as well, not enough going Buffalo's way.

Sadly if you look at past year trades for star player that is what it will fetch. Come back to these trade once those player have been traded and they won’t be as bad as they look now.

Please compare and contrast with previous star player trades under Jarmo Kekalainen and try again.

That Jones trade is completely hopeless and there is no defending it. Wouldn't have sufficed for Savard at the deadline, let alone Jones at any time ever.
