If you believe that will get you a top 6 forward, have fun with it, but expect a lot of get losts.
Anyways, Ehlers won't be traded for a low end quantity package, so we can leave it there.</div></div>
Sorry, I just went to your ACGMs to see if I could gain a bit of insight about how you value players....
11 post per day, 1 ACGM years ago, in which you did nothing.
Dont know why I was even engaging with you.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jimmyjets</b></div><div>I’m going to suggest that Friedman doesn’t know jack as we have Perfetti, Lambert, McRoarty, Barlow, Chibrikov that we already need to make room for. Bring in another winger is the last thing we’d need. In fact I think we are probably looking to move Iafello as well.
Kevin Fiala trade to the kings for Faber and 19 oa would be a decent example. Debrincat trades and Dach, although traded at the draft don’t feel like as good of fits.
The analytics and puck transition numbers will be what makes team covet Ehlers. With top line utilization and pp1 usage he easily goes above a point per game.
Maybe a sign and trade a la Matt Tkachuk could also be an option to maximize the return. I would prefer to keep as a rental then take the proposed return.</div></div>
I think DeBrincat and Fiala were younger, better players without the injury history, but thanks for insight from a WPG fan.
How do you reconcile how WPG fans feel about him, and his poor usage/deployment by the managment?

Hhmmmm....
Id say that I would take Timothy + ~17OA.... but Toronto is 23? *and* you want 1.6M retention? I dont think Topi moves the needle at all at this point.
I think you need to add a bit, as it stands, I think OTT will get a better deal for Chychrun.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jonesy204</b></div><div>I think the value is fine, quite the haul in fact. Imo, Jets already have plenty of middle six forwards and they need more size on blue line not less, the pick is nice. need high quality not quantity. When PLD happened Jets had less depth than they do now. I think they would get a more appealing deal elsewhere.</div></div>
Very fair.
I think Joseph would safely come in below Schiefele, Connor, Vilardi, Perfetti, Nino and Lowry, but would probably be the 7th or 8th best forward on your team, but he would be your 4th youngest forward.
My thought process that turning an expiring 3rd best forward on your team into a cheaper 7th best + late 1st (which as I said, you could turn into 17OA) + A defenseman who would be your youngest NHL D, who has more than 250 games (more than Samberg or Stanley, who are older, Hes an NHL pro) would be acceptable.
You could take that 1st and use it to upgrade somewhere

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Windjammer</b></div><div>Are you trying to sell one fluke career great by Joseph as him being a consistent 41 point or better player? Something he's never come close to doing?
A 24 YO defenseman that would be 9 or 10 on the depth chart?
A nothing prospect and a real late 1st.
Sounds exactly as I described it, nothing interesting.
This is about 25% of what PLD got in value and they were players the filled needs for the Jets, not random pieces you are looking to dump.</div></div>
LOL youve got some dramatically inflated value of your own players if you think Brannstrom would be 9th on your chart.
As far as Joseph, a year ago was the blip, 2 of the last 3 he has been that player. He has almost the exact same production as Iaffalo and similarly didnt get his crack until he was 24
This is closer to 50% the value that PLD got, and thats about what you should expect for an older player who has less value. As far as *need*, ive mentioned the stated desire by Freidman.

Youre giving up a .75pt forward for a .5pt forward who is a year younger, half the price and a year longer, adding a 24yo defenceman, a 1st and a lottery ticket.
WPG didnt look for a 1 for 1 with PLD, they took a useful cheaper forward, a young analytically favoured piece and a draft pick. I figured they would be amenable to doing the same again.

Youre dead on, this is the way to do it. Overpay, and then the other fandoms can let you know how you could fairly trim it back.

If were trading Brady, its not for Caufield or Suzuki. Trading brady is admitting that the team is being rebuilt. Youre not trading brady for a similarly aged competitive piece.

Small tip, if you have to include a bull**** cap dump trade thats obviously not the focus of the ACGM;
Dont ask for anything back, add a stupid late pick and write "Any team".
Otherwise, you'll get fans of that team popping in as Sens fans will and say;
"Sens decline, Reaves ****ing sucks and isnt worth the paper his contract is printed on"

While I dont dislike the players, its more 11OA right now vs ~15OA a year away.
Maybe you go for 2025 if you think the Sens are fully rebuilding as compared to a more higher pressure retool.

OTT laughs as they decline.
Hirvonen is useless and a pick 3 drafts away drops the value of that pick.
Swap that 3rd to a current 3rd or a future 2nd. Swap Hirvonen for Niemela.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>simonveilleux</b></div><div>You've been accumulating prospects for some time now. By the time the player drafted this year becomes a DOMINANT player (whether it's Dickinson, Lindstrom, Silyaev, or anyone else), some of your core players (like Batherson, Tkachuk, Chabot, Norris) will be past their prime. In my opinion, you would be better served with a slightly older prospect who is NHL-ready and a veteran.</div></div>
We have not been accumulating prospects. We have been trading out picks and prospects away.
Peep the prospect pool rankings put out by any organization and then explain why OTT should trade away 7OA
