I would probably ordinarily agree with the BPA/top 10 statement. But Philly is in an odd position where they're fairly deep in prospects at each position--with the exception possibly of left wing. If Farabee is still there, they really have to consider that. I'm a fan of Kravtsov but really think #14 is too high. Berggren is a nice kid, but if they waste a #14 pick on him, someone should be fired. If that's who they decide they really want, they should trade back. That may not be a horrible idea, actually, but I'd be more inclined to use the #19 pick as bait to move back (I may use #14 if I were able to skunk Buffalo's #32 and/or their first round next year--I think they'll still be a lottery pick next year). I'm a huge fan of Kupari, so I'll be giddy if the Flyers pick him. But, if Farabee is there, I'll understand going LW.

Yeah, honestly though, if someone takes Bouchard, it probably means Boqvist is still there. I take Boqvist over Hughes in that case. I just read your quote regarding the concussion history with Boqvist, though. I think that's valid and should probably give pause, but I still go that route. In any case, they almost have to go defenseman there, right? The only way I'm Detroit and even consider going forward with that pick is if something utterly bizarre happens and Zabina is still there for some unbelievable reason. Then I might think about it for a minute.

Quoting: ExpiredmilkYT

Flyers won't draft a centre in round 1. McIsaac is a late 20s pick.

Kupari will likely slide to RW anyway. They're deep at RW too, but in any case Hextall will take BPA. If that's a centre, guarantee they pick a centre.
I've seen mocks where Farabee is still available. As much as I really like Kupari, I may go Farabee if he is. Nearly all positions have good depth right now in the Flyer organization, but LW is probably weakest. But again, they'll go BPA. At the very least, they become trade chips.

Quoting: J_Sand3rs

Highly doubt Dallas goes defense with their 1st round pick. They have an pretty loaded defensive prospect pool. They need to add to their center depth. If Veleno falls to them, that's their pick. Assuming he's gone in the top-10 (which he should be), Kotkaniemi and Kupari (in that order) should be their priority.

Yeah, quite possibly. Though if they're going center, it may be Hayton.

Quoting: Benning_is_a_genius

I don't even know what to think about this, so many things I don't agree with. Addison and Sandin in the top 20? Jett woo and vlad kotkov in the 1st round?

Kotkov isn't a huge stretch at the end of the first, but I'm not huge on Woo either. I'm a complete amateur at the mock draft thing [pauses for shock to wear off], but I've seen Woo on "professional" mocks go mid and early teens. That is insane. I think it's extremely unlikely that the Flyers draft at #19. I think they trade back if they aren't able to package the two picks to move up. So, it's kind of a throw-away pick for me, but it also is a player that fits and whose development arc would work. They don't need someone that's ready in the next 2 years and likely won't even be in the AHL in the next 2 years, but they need someone who might be able to replace any of Morin, Sanheim, or Myers that they lose to Seattle. But yeah, it's reaching a bit.
If Jersey doesn't pick Addison at #17 and and the Flyers do pick at #19, that's probably the way Philly goes.

I agree Detroit should take Bouchard over Hughes. I like Bouchard a lot more. That's not against Hughes, but more about Bouchard. I think they go Michigan, though. Very possible you're right, though.
