Grubauer Trade
Calgary needs to move a goalie not bring in a 32 year old goalie who isn't as good as Markstrom makes just 100k less and is signed for year longer.

Wennberg to Rangers
It's unlikely Rangers give up their 1st Round pick. However, I think Francis will shoot for equivalent, if not better value by plumping for a 2nd and a strong prospect.
LW is a position of strength in the Rangers pipeline and they could easily part with one to get this deal done.
Othmann is likely not who they'd want to let go of, but two things bump up the Prospect quality Seattle seek; the cap rentention as it gives NYR space to make another move before the deadline, and the Avs waiting in the wings armed with a 1st that they don't mind moving.

Bruins Deadline Move
That trade offer would be met with a very quick no from Seattle. Bjorkstrand is the better, more well rounded forward and has been the superior player this season, not to mention he's signed for the next couple of seasons at a very reasonable rate. The two draft picks aren't enough to bridge the value gap between DeBrusk, and Bjorkstrand, especially if Seattle is retaining several years worth of cap. Furthermore, if the Kraken trade Bjorky it would be a signal they're punting on this season, meaning DeBrusk with his expiring contract wouldn't be of much use to them anyway. So overall, the trade doesn't make any sense for the Kraken from a roster construction or value perspective.

Good bye Kuz
Seattle doesn't consider that whatsoever. McCann is the superior player to Kuzmenko, on a better contract, and under team control for longer. Karlsson, a 24 year old AHLer, doesn't come close to bridging the gap in value between them.

McMann + a 3rd might be enough to dump Klingberg somewhere but that's it. Calgary and Seattle both decline hard.

DUBAS DO IT
Seattle is getting the really raw end of this deal, they'd definitely decline. Dunn is easily the best player in this deal and the package Seattle is getting isn't nearly enough, especially when considering Seattlejust extended him long term, and that you're asking Seattle to retain 3 million dollars per year for the next 4 years.

the best way for Tampa to solve their goalie problem daccording to me
Tampa sends Seattle a 2026 or 2027 1st Round pick in exchange for Joey Daccord.
Daccord is cost controlled for the next 2 years at 1.2M.
If the cap doesn't work, also send Myers to Seattle for an additional 2028th 4th round pick to even things out.
I doubt Seattle wants to trade Daccord. He is a late bloomer who has a decent shot at being a 1B or better NHL goalie. He is also cost controlled for the next 2 years, so if he has a Gustavsson style breakout this season, they don't have to worry about paying him. With that said, a 1st, even one a few years from now, is an overpayment. They can gamble on Driedger putting it back together enough to be their backup.

Can't see the Kraken doing either of those trades.
Borgen is a younger, bigger, cheaper and controlled version of DeMelo and Tanev is a huge fan favorite who's worth more then a couple crappy picks.

Huge Trade
This is really two separate trades. The Ottawa part makes more sense to me, since Ottawa needs a goalie and is probably willing to give up a good prospect to get one. Markstrom scares me a little at 3x$6M cap hit coming off a down year – the last goalie like that they acquired didn’t work out – but I guess that’s why it only costs a prospect to get him.
The other trade seems like way too much for Seattle to give up for Hanifin given that he’s only a 1-year rental. I guess they get a cap dump (Driedger) out of it too, but it still seems like too much.

Which of these make sense for both sides
I don't think Seattle considers Wright for Karlsson in a 1 for 1 even for Karlsson at 50%. SEA if they really wanted to could take Karlsson at 11.5M, so paying for the retention isn't really relevant. They are better off having secured their 1 and 2C with Beniers and Wright, than having Karlsson for the next 4 years even if they were all elite.

Cupping
Seattle's not going to give up their top 2 defensive prospects and a first rounder for Hanifin. They're more likely to take the money used to sign Klingberg and that Hanifin would take in cap space to re-sign Dunn and Borgen, and sign/trade for a low risk bottom 6 d-man to battle Megna.
I don't think Kerfoot adds any value to the roster above what they already have at wing, that money could be better spent elsewhere.
