Yzerman waits two years and Kyle Connor comes home in UFA to play with Larks!!… just as Edvinsson, Seider, Raymond, Johansson begin their prime years… with ASP, Danielson, Kasper, Mazur, Wallinder, and Lombardi all having graduated and making impacts… plus hopefully Cossa and the ‘24 1st joining too.
Been a longg rebuild road but finally there’s light at the end of the tunnel and future is bright. Wings will make playoffs in 2 years and then stay for the next two decades.

I agree Perfetti and Kasper profile completely different, but Perfetti doesn’t lack compete, he currently majorly lacks foot-speed and also strength. Kinda a funny skater still, no? Idk. But Perfetti is high character and very hard worker and will have a nice career. Personal prediction is fetti will continue to do just fine as he progresses developing in the NHL turning into nice player for Jets, but will leave fans and org. wanting more somehow and then he will explode as a late bloomer reaching his potential (while probably on another team after Jets tire of waiting and everyone gets change of scenery) a la Reinhart or Middlestadt type of way.

Pittsburgh sheds a ton of salary to retool with and gets back nearly what they gave up in the trade, why wouldn’t they do it? I think Karlsson would be a great fit on the wings as good pairing with Edvinsson and mentor as well, while an upgrade over Ghost on PP. Not that worried about the contract as Karlsson, Copp, Cat, Stamkos, Gibson, Seider, and Raymond all have the same expiring term and Maata, Petry, Walman, and Abdelkader would already be off the books. I disagree with everyone on here overpaying Seider and Raymond with 8 year $7/8 million deals and dismiss all those ACGM. These two contracts are a lot closer to what they actually will get just you wait and see. Maybe they get a little more I’ll concede, but anyone who has paid attention to Yzerman’s GM career knows he does bridge deals and is stubborn as hell on $ amount to young players. Sergachev got $4.8x3 before getting $8.5x8 for example. Kucherov got 4.76x3 before getting $9.5x8. We’re not Buffalo or Ottawa, these guys aren’t going anywhere.

I don’t know why he wouldn’t fit in with the Blues long term, he is quality prospect with a lot of team control left. Berggren is NHL ready now and has shown he’s prime to net 20 goals with NHL full season. With Kane, Cat, and Fabbri already tho, the wings can’t put more small wingers in the lineup rn that don’t kill penalties for us which to me is the only reason he’s not on the roster now along with still being on a two way contract. If he’s not dealt in a deal for winger with size or to upgrade RD, he replaces Fabbri in the lineup next year for Wings. I can understand your position for the wings needing to add and would add future 2nd, but I feel value is not far off already from other comp deals made. Adding Willander and a second to Berggren and a first would be overpay for one player with one year before likely testing UFA. I understand the need to get a haul back for Buch tho
