Even if Helle is traded, and Swayman is of interest, Vilardi isn't going to be part of a Swayman trade.

I love Tyler Bertuzzi… but have you stopped to think about how long 8 years is?

The only way Swayman is traded includes Villardi. If Ullmark doesn’t have Winnipeg on his NTC, you can probably talk about Scheifele. There is zero chance that Boston trades Swayman for Scheifle

Since the blues got Hayes I don't really see us wanting Fredric. We already have plenty of forwards that need to play next season

Then there is no deal. Vilardi is partly PLD's replacement.

DUDES. The Blues are not trading a 23 1st for a 4th liner. OBVIOUSLY.

I included a third and a fourth.

I just include this deal to counteract all Blues trades involving us and Krug.

75 proj war with a 94 EV defense. I’m pretty comfortable suggesting the likelihood of that first rounder hitting that production level is low.

So what? They're not trading a 1st for a 4th liner and mid picks. It's not a need and they have other important fish to fry.

And speak for your team when talking about late 1sts. The Blues clean up like bandits on those late 1sts and 2nd rounders. Snuggerud, Neighbours, Thomas, Kyrou, Thompson, Barbashev, Dunn, Kostin, Fabbri, Perunovich, all between #20 and #56 since 2014. From 12 total picks. There are teams who have no managed that much of a haul from ALL their picks since 2014, earlier 1sts included (ahem).

They'll be just fine drafting, thanks.

Frederic is no longer a fourth liner. The question is whether you believe he will maintain his finishing rate, but for a team with Hayes and Kappanen on your second line … I’m not sure I’d label Frederic a 4th liner? I know you have hope that other players step up.

Jake Neighbours is a good example of a prospect who really struggled in year 1 to play an overall game, but he’s 21 and has growth potential to hit 40

I get it that you wouldn’t do the deal, but at least watch the player or look up his numbers before diminishing him. I hope they can resign him personally. His upside projection is Al Iafallo type and you can always use those
